I though we needed a compliment to balance out all the inflamed feelings in the 9/11 thread.

I compliment everyone who has posted in that thread for being compassionate, understanding and patient. Some different views and sentiments emerged, and some tempers flared, but everyone dealt with it admirably. Well done, Watchers.

Eh, there wouldn’t have been inflamed feelings had I not replied (per usual). I didn't feel compassionate or understanding the whole time, but I thank you for the compliment, nonetheless. Obviously I regret having participated in the thread, but that's best saved for the Apology Thread. ;) In the case of this thread, I'll just compliment everyone for putting up with me! :haha:

Thanks Darth -- The same back to you.

On a related note, I'd like to compliment every member of this community on their rare ability to seperate their emotions from their intellect, and discuss what, in other places, may be highly emotionally charged topics.

Although I realise that we are, in a sense, self-selected to be predisposed to discussions of this nature (by virtue of a common interest which essentially characterises our willingness to consider things outside of the norm), it is nonetheless not something which I, or probably any of us, encounters frequently in "Real" life.

Examples of this abound on the forum, and I think that it speaks volumes about the quality of this place. I'm pleased, and proud, to count myself a member of such an open-minded group.

Kudos EVERYONE.

Respect

Everyone I have had any contact with at the Watch has been just marvelous. It feels almost like a family here. I don't like to be away from you all for very long. I have to check in.
Vain, of course is absolutely marvelous. He truly Rocks!!!
Some of you have become dear to me in a short time.....especially a couple who have brought so much laughter and fun into late night, and my prince :king: who has helped me through some very bad times of personal traumatic experiences. The encouragement, laughter, and learning has already been wonderful, and I hope the Watch will continue indefinitely. Catee loves you all..... :queen:

Darth...for giving me someone to laugh with and someone to laugh at  and, at the risk of flattering you too much: you would do well in Slytherin ;)

I want to thank everyone for being nice enough to make me change my mind about leaving this time. Particularly people like Cate and Myste, who are open, warm and friendly, despite not knowing me very well. This community is like no other, and it has become too large a part of my life for me to leave.

Leave?!?! Cov, if you left I would lose it! You are without a doubt one of the best people here, and when I first came here you were one of the folks who welcomed me with open arms. I sincerely thank everyone who helped keep my friend from leaving! Thanks folks. Cov, please stick around. :(

 Wow, that's not something I hear every day  I appreciate your friendship, Bradagreekatragedakas :faint: ;) I really do. I was feeling a little burnt out and listless, but the friendship of people who hardly know me has convinced me to stay. And your kindness, my friend... It's a shame Ur-Vile didn't reach the same conclusion as I have :(

Ur-Viles reasons were slightly more complicated.
