Sexual arousal is merely a biological urge like thirst or hunger. But unlike food or water, you can live without sex.
Passion is an emotion -- it is a part of good sex, but it can happen towards anything you feel strongly enough about. For example, some music (such as certain works by Beethoven and Mahler) raise a great deal of passion in me. So does viewing certain works of art. So does seeing beautiful natural places like the Grand Canyon or a forest in the fall or the Rocky Mountains. So does writing a poem I am pleased with. So does eating great dark chocolate. Or fresh cherries right from the tree. So does reading a new book I am very excited about discovering.
Passion can also be a negative emotion. And it can eat you alive and destroy your life if you let passionate hatred consume your heart.
Like I didn't see this train wrecck coming...

...Passion..I suggest a look up in the ole merriam Webster...take your pick..on a sliding scale of energy involved..enthusiasm.strong liking. fervor..deep desire or liking..ardent affection,.zeal.,Love. Take your pick as to which level of " passion" one may have towards any activity. Apply bell curve here.
...Everybody does re-direct,,divert, the sex drive. Its just a matter for how long.
...Define the word as to your own knowledge,,it is a subjective,,but the important thing is that one has any passion,,any feeling in ones life. I agree..sex without feeling, emotion, passion,,is what? Again,,I can't conceive of sex without. Life is the same .................MEL

...Passion... the world is inflamed and informed by it...it is what makes living alive,,,through living life,,,,,sexual connotations are obliviously circumspectand irrelevant,,, after all if sex were the only expression of passion it would be (notoriously) sexpression and its not...you can enquire of any teenager in their forties or more or less, or more-or-less,,,9*though sometimes less is more, and versa vice*(and you will discover,,,if you'reopen to discovery,,,,and the passion,,,,(of),,,,discovering passion) *if your passion is in tune with the subtlety of discovery* that passions may rule but sex as animal instinct is subjugated in the enormous wonderful passion that is human whether wo(hu)man or (hu)man,,,,and the difference between each opposing force is the reconciliation of control over primal (animal) urges,,,we are not humanimals unless !!!!............BRIAN

Actually, what I said was that there were many other, better metaphors for life.

Ah, yes, this is undoubtedly an
uplifting film encouraging male virgins everywhere to get with the program and behave like REAL men. I believe the protagonist in this movie is visited by Dick Squad commandos--who train him in the proper ways of manhood, of course.
