I wish a warm, happy, and peaceful Christmas to everyone at the Watch. (And if you're just spending it going to the movies while all the Christians are at home being silly: still, have a nice day on me!)

Merry Christmas, you guys.

I'm told we'll be spending part of tomorrow seeing Big Hero 6.

You will enjoy that, ali. While it is its own movie, it reminded me of The Iron Giant in some ways.

Dam-et and I are going to see the final Hobbit movie this evening. He wanted to do that as a just-the-two-of-us thing...so I will get to see it again with Dam-sel and Menolly once he goes back to uni.

A happy and peaceful Christmas to you all. I'm just listening to John Hurt on the radio narrating a programme about the Christmas truce in 1914. Very moving.

I must confess my family was at home being silly!
There may have been some introducing my children to the freeware game
"Lemmings" and Warcraft 1 and some Nerd darts but nothing too silly.

Well that is to say, I heard some things I'm sure I didn't fully understand about:
a virgin birth,
and God living and dying as a human,
and a really really bad judgement some people are hoping to escape because of this all...

...But really that was all I heard, I swear Mr. Frodo!

Umm, after that outburst, am I allowed to ask how your day was, Way?

Then I won't need to turn you into anything ... unnatural ...

My holiday was great, thanks.

After spending a week celebrating a day's worth of oil burning for eight days...as well as acknowledging the rebirth of the sun, I certainly salute those who commemorate a Messiah's birth.

Seuss had it right: "Chr-stmas day is in our grasp, as long as we have hands to clasp..."

Back in RL, Dam-sel, Menolly, and I are going to see Straight No Chaser tonight.

Hope the concert was awesome, SD! You were right -- I did enjoy "Big Hero 6". Might have even gotten something in my eye once or twice... ;)

So far so good, but...
ummm, I'm a little concerned for when I find out what my punishment will be.

You say that worshipping Jesus as the Messiah is something you're okay with me doing... but, but... okay............. sorry dude; I can't go on here.
I'm taking this to THE CLOSE.
Avert your eyes, aliantha. please.

Speaking of worshipping God, I think heard something about loving ones neighbor once...
And I think it is super-awesome that your son wanted to go see "The Hobbit" as a father-son bonding time, and felt like he could express himself about that.
WTG, dad-dude!

I'm not sure that he did, but a Seuss quote without a context... I should really go look it up, and try to figure out what Ol' Mr. Giesel meant.... (he's a cagey character!!)
Otoh, high-five for busting out a Dr. Seuss quote - I love Dr. Seuss!

Linna,

The quote is from the song the Who community sings in How The Grinch Stole Chr-stmas.
Welcome Christmas come this way
Fahoo fores dahoo dores
Welcome Christmas, Christmas day
Welcome, welcome fahoo ramus
Welcome, welcome dahoo damus
Christmas day is in our grasp
So long as we have hands to clasp

Fahoo fores dahoo dores
Welcome Christmas bring your cheer
Fahoo fores dahoo dores
Welcome all Whos far and near
Welcome Christmas, fahoo ramus
Welcome Christmas, dahoo damus
Christmas day will always be
Just so long as we have we
Fahoo fores dahoo dores
Welcome Christmas bring your light
(hum next two lines...)
Fahoo fores dahoo dores
Welcome Christmas, Christmas day
Welcome Christmas, fahoo ramus
Welcome Christmas, dahoo damus
Welcome Christmas while we stand
Heart to heart and hand in hand
Fahoo fores dahoo dores
Welcome welcome Christmas Day...
Welcome, welcome Christmas day....
