The Angelic Punk, The Lizard King
Let’s swim to the moon, ah ha
Let’s climb through the tide
Penetrate the evenin’ that the
City sleeps to hide
Let’s swim out tonight, love
It’s our turn to try
Parked beside the ocean
On our moonlight drive

Not to be argumentative, but no human being ever had a seven octave range.
I vote for Freddie. Simply astounds me, even after all these years.

Halford, Dio, and Freddy were all in the 5-octave neighborhood. I wouldn't put Daltry in their class at all.

I was just dusting off some cds I haven't listened to in a while, and...how the hell did I forget this man? I remembered Maynard Keenan but not the most chameleonic voice in music?
He astounds me every time I hear him sing, and he's a nutter to boot. Ahem...I mean "eccentric genius"
The legend.

Can't believe we missed this guy....
Joe Lynn Turner from Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, and Deep Purple (pictured).
Super crazy-strong voice.

Well, Jim and Greg from Blue Rodeo certanly know how to share the limelight, and to give props to their fellow band mates.
And Gord Downie from the Tragically hip, and Gordie Johnson from Big Sugar are up there too.
(I know what all of you are thinking..."Who?")
