Ordine Naturale, it amuses me that you speak here of a Great Hall of Justice where all our brothers and sisters may meet together to see justice delivered. I smile to myself as you encourage us all to join you in a Council of War to discuss the dangers our brother Nephirthos represents. For whilst you say these things in public when in private your followers have perpetrated vile acts against my children.
Your prophet Potenza has approached my prophetess Solina and urged her to spurn my embrace and follow you. Are there not enough people in all the world to become your followers that you must attempt to steal, not just the children, but the clerics, of your brothers?
However, the travesty does not end there. What you did not know is that Solina was not only my prophetess but also my consort, for love has risen between us since first we met. Thus, whilst the words of Potenza were filled with your power, Solina had the power to resist and so, instead of surrendering to your prophet’s words the battle of divinities caused her to descend into madness. Her body remains, but her mind is gone.
Not only this, but Potenza berated Solina for our treatment of Astuzia, a heretic whose preaching in my name was driving away many of my children. I know that Astuzia in truth followed another god, and Potenza’s knowledge of him suggests that that god was you.
Through all this, I have heard no word from you; no explanation, no apology for the actions of your followers. Are you simply rude, or have you planned my downfall from the time when we all first ascended to divinity? Do you condone the behaviour of you prophet? Did you instigate his actions? And the heretic Astuzia? Was his true loyalty to you? Did you send him to preach false teachings in my name?
You speak as if our brother Nephirthos is the gravest danger we and our brothers have yet faced, but Nephirthos is what he is – the Lord of Mailce. None of us doubted that he would not cause strife. The greater danger I believe, is the evil that hides behind a mask of goodness. However, I know that I may be mistaken about you and your intentions, so I invite you to give me answer before our brothers and sister that we may know you.
You have stated that justice shall find Nephirthos eventually. Perhaps you will need to be found as well, though such a thought brings great sorrow. I await your reply.
