Cagbro, I can't tell if Homer is asleep and bored or drooling from the dessert descriptions.

What I was hoping to achieve was dribbles from the desert description. I guess I should have picked one with his eyes open.

We're off to spend the day in Hoggetowne where we will be sure to catch both living chess board games by The Theives Guild!
(I will audition for this troupe one of these days; perhaps my bo staff skills will come in handy...)

I had a fabulous laundry day with Lucimay yet again. We had a very interesting discussion about Stephen King. The conversation was particularly intense about film adaptations so I am going to see if there is an appropriate thread to post some of our conclusions in.

I had intended to work on finishing the first draft of the NaNo 2009 novel today. Then I picked up the sweater I've been knitting. So much for writing....

My next order of business is to survive the next two weeks...

Just had a long weekend away with the family which was great! Kids loved it and are becoming more manageable when it comes to holidays.

Now back at work which is a struggle

Nice to hear, Stevie.

Every month ought to have a long weekend. Heck, every two weeks!

Agreed. We still use the baby blanket she knitted for Desmond.

Just found out that my spectroscopy exam last week felt easy because it was easy and not because I didn't understand the material. :7up:

Now, if only I could say the same about Physical Chemistry :P

Aw shucks, you guys... lorin's a knitter, too, y'know, and does a great job her ownself.

I like making sweaters. 8) I like picking the colors, and I like the meditativeness of the actual knitting process, and I like that you get something warm to wear at the end of it. Plus it's kind of like starting a doorstop-sized novel, in that you know, going in, that it's gonna last you a few weeks.

That said, my last three or four projects have been sweaters, so I think I might take a break now and make something quick like socks.

Is anybody else here into crafty stuff? lorin and I talked briefly about organizing a Watch crafts exchange....

I like to crochet scarves. I've only just started last year. Mostly, I paint, though. I've also been known to work with clay from time to time.

Cameraman Jenn wrote:Ok, so at the end of March I am transferring to the OD on 16th and Potrero for intensive management training. I'll be both in the copy center and front end management/operations training. I'm also going to be borrowed on Sundays to work at the 16th St store in the copy center between now and then so it means a bunch more hours. So I first had a brief talk with Gary which actually annoyed me on the part of Jacob because he put me on the phone in the copy center knowing Gary was going to offer me a job and want to talk terms in front of customers and other employees. AND apparently Ryan knew what was up too so they were both telling me to say NO while Gary and I were trying to talk so I had to tell Gary I would call him on his cell later. Anyway, got all things settled tonight so I am very happy about that.
so...when yer a manager, can you hire me?
