Frustrated.
Hyperception was given a 56 mile stop and go route yesterday that he had to do in our own vehicle which we just had transmission work done on. He got five miles into the route when he says she lost power on acceleration (misfiring), started making a nasty metalic rattle at idle but not under acceleration, she's vibrating heavily at idle, the Service Engine Soon light came on, and she has lost a lot of coolant somewhere without overheating on the guage and showing no signs of leakage. So...he added a gallon of water each to the reservoir radiator, which then bubbled up murky orangish brown, and then pushed the van to finish his route.
After finishing the route and heading home, he pushed her up to 60 mph. When he stopped at the office and then restarted her 90 minutes later to head home, the electrical system went haywire and the cooling system temperture dropped way down.
:::idiot:::
So, it's back to the mechanic's today. Praying she didn't throw a rod, but at 300+K mileage, who knows...

I'm a bit nervous.
Attending a wedding today--my first cousin's. I'm worrying a bit too much about it; I don't want him to see me so thin (he hasn't seen me in years). I think I'll enjoy myself, though, once I get to the event. I'm getting better at reminding myself I'm not my weight or an ideal image.

Run down and a little blue. Can't seem to shake this cold/flu/whatever it is. I've woken up today feeling terrible. And I just wish all these complications in my life would sort themselves out. Tired of all this stress and unease!

Oh tee hee you guys! If you're not careful I'll change my avatar back to something completely normal and very boring!
Me: had a better afternoon. Me, SoS, my partner, and our friends Fee and little Olive all went down to Eagle's Nest (a local landmark here along the coast). Played on the beach, looked in rock pools, went home via the local pub for a swifty. And now I'm mentally preparing myself for something I have to do tomorrow that I don't necessarily want to do but need to do.

I am rather sad as it is my last week in the ambulance service. I will start work as a psychologist soon.
Sea, I'll give you a call today if that's okay.

I'm lighting a candle of strength for you right now Sea.
I had a good day. Lucimay came over and we hung out and had breakfast and just yammered non stop. I fixed us bacon and "toad in the hole" style eggs. I'll post that in the galley for anyone who is unfamiliar with them. Bloodguard Bob was off fishing with his buddies and when he came home the guitars came out and I got to listen to some great playing and singing. WOW! Lucimay has some fabulous pipes on her folks. Her picking ain't bad neither. Seriously beautiful voice and she knows how to use it. I was enthralled. Then the three of us yammered some more and it was fun. Now Bloodguard Bob is making some crabcakes from the leftover crab and we are having veggie medley as a side.

I'm sleepy. I had a closing shift at work, and a bunch of us stayed after for the last showing of 1408. freaking AMAZING film. I'll probably go back again.
Now, off to bed, I think. It's about 1:00 in the morning.

Sleepy. Just woke up. Going to get some cereal in a moment. Kind of tired of the breakfast platters from Hardee's. They have been helpful in the weight gain, though, to be sure.

Why not make yourself a plate of eggs in the nest, or toad in the hole, as Jenn calls it, LF? Easy peasy, and a real treat to boot.
BTW, good morning everyone!

OK. Just OK. Even though I am taking about 2 total days off this week, the days I will be at work will be HARD and stress-filled. Ick.

Eww, sorry, Guns. Hang in there.
We survived the yard sale and round 1 of the move, yay! We've still got a few carloads of stuff to take over to the new place, and the movers come tomorrow for the furniture. It occurred to me earlier this morning that, aside from about 6 months in Denver, we've lived in this same little neighborhood in Alexandria since Batty was entering 1st grade, and here she's gonna be a junior in college in the fall. We've moved several times, but never any farther than a mile away (other than Denver). No wonder this move feels more stressful than usual for me.

Urgh...
Actually, it was a slab of beer and I drank a fair bit of it...and then at some stage I made toast with vegimite and cheese which took me a long time to do...and then I felt a bit better and drank a bit more and...
urgh...
I need a holiday!
Oh, of course, I was drinking alone. Does that mean I have a problem?

Sea, drinking alone is a major problem - there's no one there to get you another beer.
I'm sure beer tastes better if someone else brings it to you.
