I have been overwhelmed recently with my new role in this world. Feeling a bit useless and guilty over not working. That and a bunch of medical bullshit kept me away.

Yay, snowfarm.
(also, yay to travelling with a friend who doesn't kill you, and who you don't kill. In that vein, I gotta say I'm pretty pleased I've never had someone kill me on roadtrip!)
In two weeks I go for shoulder replacement (or something like that.) Can't wait to begin exercising my arms.
Always a party after surgery/tissue scarring, right? :(

Yay, congrats!
Hope you are all well.
Well, I am doing well: :thumbsub: I do the banana dance IRL pretty much every day.

So good to see you around. :)

yuck- tired is no fun.
I was falling asleep in my chair last night, so I left the DM and the other players, and went to bed before 10.
Sadly, they're used to this from me by now.

Coffee?

well, I'm having coffee at least, but how I feel today is mostly excited...
I get to see a good friend who lives about an hour away today.

Barely landed back from Middle-Earth and caught a cold. Fuzzy was supposed to visit Gianthome this week, but plans stabbed their toes to a few unforeseen obstacles, so we're attempting to meet again later in the year. *scatters around pink hearts*

I discovered Lord Foul's bathtub!

Furthermore, a Ringwraith followed me home. It ought to feel most welcome in Cthulhu's company.

Linna, yes, the whole country wallowed in delicious beauty, just wish I'd had more time. :D

Well, I got some good news yesterday...as a result of a change in company policy, I'm now entitled to an additional 6 days paid leave a year. :D

I've had two days off this year, and I was lucky to get those.

I mean, aside from weekends. No vacation. No holidays. No sick days.

I'm about ready to bite someone.

going a long time with no vacation or holidays or days off is horrible. :-/
They get away with the "no paid sick days" because you're on contract?

today I feel good so far... hyper and kind of excited...

..except which things I can do today is tempered by the fact that my left eye is irritated, so I close it a lot.
have a Dr.'s appointment for Monday (made the appt yesterday, since it was hurting then.)

Technically I do get paid sick days - I've actually had the maximum amount of sick time banked for the past 3 (or is it 4?) years because they never let me take it.

And I could go on and on, but I'm trying not to complain about work here. I'm just so depressed and burned out right now.

Just got back from Snowfarm. We worked on coloring metals. Bronze and silver. Lots of fun. Definitely inspired by the fall colors around me.

Wow. You are getting really good. I can't decide if my favorite is the leafy one on the bottom, or the steampunky one next to it, but I like all of it.

Feel pretty good considering it's Monday. :D

Nice work Linna.

Sorus, sick days don't work like that. You don't ask for them, you stay home and phone them to say you're sick and not coming in. :D

I've taken 4 sick days in the last 6 years, but only because I don't really get sick enough to skip work often.

Thanks! I'm not sure I like the colorizing of the metal. I mean you spend all this money for silver or bronze then you cover it up. Maybe I just have to be more subtle with the color.

I really like the coloring on the leaf - both the color and all the detail on the veins - it's very realistic. But my other favorite is the uncolored one next to it (which I can see is flowers rather than gears, but at first glance it reminded me of part of the Antikythera mechanism, which has always fascinated me, so that image kind of stuck).

I also like the coloring on the earrings at the top, both pairs, so I think you did a good job, though my tastes do tend to run towards subtle.

I think it was a quiet weekend in GD, but yes, you should visit more.

Yeah, I was maybe not paying 100% attention. Monday indeed.
