And correct me if I am wrong, and please, please please don't be offended, Lore, you know I think you are cool, but you aren't even playing this time around, right? Why do you care so much about what happens in a game you aren't even playing? Again I apologize if my banter has offended anyone but I felt it in character and thought it was fun. I am a little taken aback to discover that people are upset at it. I will state one more time, this is my virgin voyage into role playing games and there are several people who have known what I planned with her. And what her personality is like. In case there is any question, Keev is a slut, a selfish, pleasure seeking slut who is easily bored. Does Zeus ring any bells? Or Loki? I dunno. Since nobody can tell me a way to post then I am just going to keep on going. Sorry if you are a banter hater but I get to play too and I want it to be fun. I'll keep the banter down but I will not excise it alltogether. Is that an acceptable compromise?
My apologies for making the statement that flirting was inappropriate. I retract them.

All this bickering makes me think that perhaps I should not play. I don't know what i am doing and I really don't understand what all the fuss is. I know that I caused alot of it and I honestly am not sure how. I keep saying that I am gonna play regardless and putting on a tough front but maybe I should just retire.

No. You should not retire. You should entirely ignore anyone who tells you that you are doing it wrong. You are not doing it even a little bit wrong.

As has been said several times, the game thread will doubtless have a more serious feel when the game actually starts. I'm sure the players who are not happy with how it has gone so far will find it at least more to their liking.

Ok, TIME OUT!!!!!

This is getting way out of hand, folks!!!

This is the second person I have heard say that perhaps they shouldn't play because of Dorian's and Montressor's opinion.

Dorian, Montressor - I really do not think this was what you had wanted when you made your statements and suggestions. I replied to you, as have others.

Now, two people are thinking of quitting because this has escalated into an argument that is way out of proportion.

Jenn, don't you dare quit! You play the game and your character the way you see fit. This is your game as much as theirs. They can play the way they want to, you can play the way you want to.

Would people stop singling out Dorian and Montressor? You're hardly helping the issue by focusing on them (there are about six of us included!). What's worse is that I swear Xar made a statement in pantheon 2 to limit similar behaviour and no one so much as chose to be hurt by that.

Anyway, what I am sick of is the censure of other's opinions. Some of us gave our opinions in a polite way, and stated that they were such. Then, some people chose to become offended.

I hate to sound patronising, but it is their opinion. I hardly think that this warrants offense or anger.

Everyone, just let it go. I'm certain that when the game starts you will all get into it the gaming, because stellar players like Murrin, Syl, Fist, Dorian, etc, will help lead the way. And all this debate will fade in the dark as opinions do.

***Throwing up hands*****

I am done with this.

Thank you, Loremaster. You have finally succeeded in making me cry in frustration

I adore you but why won't you let this alone?

I am trying to be a peacemaker here and I get attacked.

Everyone here needs to get over this bullshit!

I don't give damn about anyone's opinion!!! Yours, Creators, Dorians, Montressors, whoever.

I only want to play the game and have fun at it.

Your post above could be construed as an attack on Dorian and Montressor.

But you adore me? Me of all people?

I just asked the same, not to continue the attack, Jove! How frustrating is it for me???

I apologize if my posts were taken as attacks. I was attempting to concede that they were only expressing opinions and are entitled to such.

I just want to put a rest to this incessant arguing.

Can't we all just get along???? :)

The funny thing is Edward James Olmos is in that and BSG. Both deal with similar themes.

I'm really starting to like showing things from ul-zakaru's point of view. He has such a wonderfully skewed perspective of both himself and Bel. Of course, the few times in the past I tried to go a bit stream-of-consciousness with my writing I was told I'd laid it on a bit much, so I'm not sure how this addition works out.

Dorian, I don't have a problem with the mention of earth in your piece. An interesting one, as well--a bit mind-bending at the end there: a piece of nothing apearing in the middle of nothing so that there is now nothing where nothing was before, hehehe.

Yeah thats the idea :P

and the whole "if someone had been there to witness it..." bit is meant to kinda reference to the question "if i tree falls over in the wood, and noone is there o hear it, does it make any noise" I origonally had that in there but edited it out

i quite like that post

Murrin, I have always wanted to ask you this: is that a picture of your dog?

And all this time I thought it was the gay fox from Meet the Feebles . . .

My world has been crushed.

And I liked both posts. I have a bias to non-tradional story-telling styles, so your stream of consciousness worked well for me. Both posts seem to preserve a lot of mystery, and make me want to read more too.

I'm just biding my time for Turn One. I refuse to post in the Game Thread again until Turn One has been processed . . . probably . . .
