Both options are worthy.
One thing to keep in mind is that you can only display three items at a time. Once I had more than five, I decided I needed no more until the "wow" factor kicked in.
That's my reasoning anyway...with a little push from a currently MIA Watcher.
That doesn't mean if a new item is added I have to have I won't buy it, or if I decide to donate to some one out of the blue I won't do it. I will and have. It only prolongs my quest.
After all, it's about the journey, not necessarily the destination...
