The "nom nom nom" on Kaydene's is an especially nice touch.

Interesting post, Stevie G. Minimalistic. Linden, I presume?

Darn, I can't see Krazy's or Stevie's.

Linden in Steve's art?
Morticia Adams, more like
Linden is a blonde

her hair's in shadow
as darkness covers the earth
the blonde becomes black
(i think i may regret challenging the dread poet in this manner)

Or it's because she's evil. Just sayin'.

Finally found enough time and energy to do this tonight. Been working long hours since last Friday, but won't bore you with the details.
My compliments to everyone for their designs, they're all wonderful!
Fascinating uses of the Worm (skurj?) imagery I see here. That never occurred to me.
Edited: changed picture to thumbnail link as imageshack was not displaying the full size image. Grrrr...

You may have meant it lightly, Neo, but that is brilliant!

Thanks kindly, SD!
Menolly, sorry if I usurped you. It means that great minds think alike, right?

That's OK, neo.
I had the idea, but not the skill to implement.
I'm just glad to see it created so everyone could see what was pretty much in my head!

You've outdone yourself Matrixman - I love both of your entries!!
Mine is not really Linden, maybe a gothic Linden with a dramatic story twist. It's really, truthfully, a cheesy meld of standard dark imagery and dodgy 'fire' writing... I have another couple of entries if the competition stays open for a while longer...
If not, Matrixman has my vote for the best bloody cover since sliced bread!

Thanks, Stevie...but please submit your entries, I'd like to see more of yours and others' work!

This is the boring UK cover - *yawn*. Not sure if I'll get to the over-the-top US cover

(Was away a while, now I'm back.) This contest will be open a while because of the holidays, I am thinking. (I'm probably not the only one who was/is/will be away.)
Good entries, StevieG and MM.
StevieG, Are those squiggly lines supposed to be
skurj?

MM's latest neatly sums up my feelings about the name change. Nice going!

Stevie, I like your minimalist approach. I've said before that I preferred the UK covers to the US.
Okay, I've gone off the deep end, but I couldn't resist another one:
