Had a strange spell of weather yesterday.
It seems Summer has arrived a bit early this year and I was out and about on my mountain bike in the warm afternoon sunshine. So when I gets home, and into the elevator, and into the flat, it was almost as if I'd passed into a parallel universe. The sky had darkened, and so had the streets and pavements, with rain. In the distance there was flashes of lightning and long grumbling thunder.
All this in the time it took to get indoors!
Still, it cooled the air nicely ... but very bizarre.

I was reading an
Evangeline comic book the other day in which a caption displayed a rocket ship with an extremely simply design, line-drawn with a wash of colour. So I get's to thinking that the shapes of the rocket weren't too far removed from a some airfix kits I've had stashed away for months on end in the back of a cupboard.
Sure enough, some cutting with a junior hacksaw and trimming with a newly acquired hobby knife the Eurofighter Typhoon is taking shape as an interstellar space craft. The exciting part is that I'll get to use the frames from which the parts are fixed, to make a gantry from the engine section at the rear to the flight deck assembly at the front.
The whole point to all this is just of having a very relaxing time as one does, whether from reading,
writing, drawing, or painting. So I wanted to put this out there in case there're any other Watchers
who like modelling airfix kits into something other than their original parts.
Will supply picture updates if there's any interest.

Haha, nice, definitely supply updates.
I used to build aircraft models as a kid (my dad was a keen modeller) but haven't for many years. And never modded the kits.

)
The GF's grandfather was such a keen modeller that he had an entire workshop, where hundreds of un-built models still await somebodies attention. (His son technically builds them as well, but he a pilot and mostly lives in Singapore, so doesn't do much.)
The GF inherited his airbrush compressor, but haven't used it for anything yet.

I don't think so. You could ask an admin to create one, I suppose...

the Watch is an entity that exists despite our comings
and leavings. like Lovecraft wrote about, imagining it
created it and it perpetuates itself. who knows how many
"members" are pomps created by the Watch to maintain
itself? it creates itself to bring itself over from an older,
failed universe. it was created as a turtle. by a turtle. for
a turtle. (and I am the turtle king.) all these myths are true
and none of them can be true.
how many members of the Watch can be confirmed to exist?
Null is Zero!
