May you find solace with all the mourners of Zion.
I am glad you and your mum got to have one last visit on your birthday.

Sorry to hear it Cleburne. It's always difficult, even if it's sorta expected.

My condolences, Cleburne.
I feel awesome today, which is great because I've been feeling a little depressed lately (moving halfway around the world will do that to a person...). A musician I really like had a free concert on-line this morning (Sunday night, for all you folks Stateside), and I won the drawing for one of the CDs. I haven't decided yet whether I'll have them send it to me here in Korea or to my family in Wisconsin. I had to re-file my tax forms with the IRS (twice) because of typos I didn't notice and the online program didn't catch. Life is interesting.

"Life is interesting" indeed.
Feeling kinda tired today. Magickmaker was supposed to take the bus back to campus yesterday, but waited 'til almost the last minute to confess to me that she had a bunch of stuff to do when she got back last night and the bus would get her there too late to get it all done. Soooo, guess who got to do the 8-hour round-trip drive yesterday?

Didn't get home 'til nearly midnight. Still got up and came in to work this morning. Starting to fade now....

My condolences as well Cleburne.
The wife, the kid and I have all been sick over the last week. We got some sort of tummy bug, and it has been difficult keeping things down. As the kid is just barely under 2 years old, there isn't much to do but wait it out for him, who has had it the worst. I came in second place and am still feeling weak as hell, but at least am back at work today. The wife who is pregnant thankfully had it least of all of us. But it sucks because I'm the only one who had it the previous week, and then I get it again with everyone else (or a relapse). Ugh.

Condolences Cleburne.
I'm back in Oz (and awake at 6am--which is 8am NZ time). Had a great trip. Tired as; and miss all the rolling green hills and ferns and all that jazz. Will most definitely go back again (although will probably do the south island).

unexpected bonus today. county library assoc. had a guest speaker dinner tonight for $30. we could not afford to go.
then our local librarian called - someon ehad to donate two tickets as they could not go. she thought of us and we were able to go.
three women were the speakers. they wrote a book together about spindle top.
we sat with our head librarian, head children's librarian, a county judge and his wife, (who are friends and fellow church members) and another couple.
in fact we live in the judge's house of many years ago. in the attic an old campaign sign of his is nailed in as part of the floor.
we ran into a coworker of mine who heads another of the county libraries, the ex head librarian of this town and the judge that julie worked 13 years for.
a great time.

Found out today that the contract gig I started six months ago will be ending soon. The customer is reorganizing the team I work on, and as the new program manager, it appears I get the short straw.
Here we go again...

Bad night ahead. Overtired and stressed, and under pressure with university assignments. Plus I can feel a depressive episode creeping in. Joy. Here comes several hours writing a tutorial assignment in a fog.
