This thread began in 2014 but before that Watch participation began to slide noticeably. However it isn't just our forum. Ahira's Hangar once sported over 1100 members but is now essentially a lifeless archive. The Outer Caves (I think it was Hierachy's forum) was birthed and died over time as well even though dAN and I had fun populating it with multiple aliases to keep it lively to no avail. The site has now disappeared.
I still maintain and visit Glurpworld about once a week and it is fairing little better than the Hanger but it too will eventually end the moment I stop caring for it.
But the Watch is still active. Its not what it was but its still alive and kicking and though our circle of friends seems to still be getting gradually smaller there are at least 20 plus members logging in every day and some of those change each week giving us activity we should be thankful for.

Not smaller, just less present.
And yeah, sad as it is to see people wander off, that's life I guess.

I'm glad there are as many of us still playing as there are.

Yes, at least some of us are still around. Some of the people who are not here I see on Facebook.

Yes, indeed. Offer them wealth, power, immortality.

Hey,
I'd come back for wealth, power and immortality...in fact, any one of those would be enough.
Oh...wait...

Dropping my other social media helped a lot, that and building PC's for my GF and I.

Yeah, the watch is much more refined than mere social media.

I've said it before. A person's comments are not so easily lost in the overwhelming minutiae found on Facebook and twitter.
I nice challenge is to write a post on Facebook, Twitter and KW and then go back a week later and see which post you can find the fastest, without cheating by going to your personal profile page of course. Just your newsfeed.

It's not so easy to find old posts on FB, Twitter or KW unless you check your own profile. That's the only way I do it, usually.
On FB, I sometimes "save" posts I want to go back to later, cause FB has that option.

Searching works, sometimes. But you don't always get the search results you were looking for.

Heck, we have a real shot at breaking 3,000 posts this month, something that hasn't happened on the Watch for many months.

Nice. We probably won't quite make 3K due to the way the site calendar works, but well done nonetheless.

Well, it's still March...just another 76 posts...
(Either way, pretty good showing. Nice to see some old hands dropping by, and some new ones.

Okay, we're not going to get to 3,000 posts this month, alas.
