It would be like walking among the gods of television from my childhood. I'd be a kid all over again.
You're having way too much fun, CMJ. (You, too, Jwaneeta!)

Nice to see Lou Ferrigno - still the best Hulk ever.

Maybe it's the picture, but I would not have recognized Marina Sirtis at first glance. I've only ever seen her in full regalia as Troi. :)

Mind you, I've only seen a few pictures of Ferrigno without Hulk makeup.
But it's not like you're gonna mistake him for someone else - not many guys are built like him.

That was Marina Sirtis? 8O I didn't recognize her at all. Wow.

Pulled out all the scrapbooking stuff this morning to work on the one for the Hawaii trip. I'm adding in the trips before and after to see my kids, and making it the Great Sabbatical Travels scrapbook.

I can't believe I have to go back to work in less than two weeks. Bah.

I have a few more pics from Wondercon, two of which I am totally blanking on names. I'll throw them in the fest/group album along with Virginia Hey and let you boys sort them out.

Today Jwaneeta, BGB and I went to Yosemite. It was gorgeous but we hit some horrific torrential downpour on the way back and I was driving and could barely see. We made it back ok and the park was stunning. I'll post those pics in the photography thread if you guys wanna see. Not sure I'll get to it tonight since I'm a bit worn out. Great weekend. Seriously great.

I've had a great 24 hours. Caught up with one of my old university friends who I haven't seen for about 9 years. She was the same as always and we had a brilliant time. And her son (who is deaf) and SoS played really well together. Drank and smoked far too much last night but it was good to be able to just talk about life, and reminisce about our days as archaeology students.

Glad someone had a good day. Just ended a 6 year relationship and feel lost, numb and hurt.

Cack. Flying solo from now on.

Very sorry to hear that, Infelice.

Not only are you clearly unhappy about it, but whether the other party realizes it now or not, theirs is the greater loss.

To better days and better relationships, both of which are in your future!

My sympathies, Infelice. I will say, flying solo does have its advantages. Doesn't diminish the hurt you feel, of course.

I'm also going through a break up. =/

We were together for 3 and a half years. Hurts because we still care a great deal for each other, but we know now that we're just not good together. We put in our 30 day notice April 1st and I'm moving in with my sister until I move to Chico over the summer for college.

Things are rough. What an emotional roller-coaster.

Would it cheer you up if I told you this?

My boss was attempting to fix my counter space by moving the main computer farther down the counter so he was attempting to drill a hole in the counter with a hole saw blade and a cordless drill. First he put the blade on wrong then he couldn't tighten it properly so he went to the office for a wrench and by the time he got back I had the hole almost all the way cut. THEN I watched him struggle for over twenty minutes trying to take the support bracketing for the monitor apart and he finally got frustrated and walked to the office for different tools and I had the brackets off in under a minute. Long before he got back.
