If you were glowing in the dark you might be a glow worm...which wouldn't be a bad thing. I saw a cave full of them in NZ and they're funky!

I don't even know what to say, that is so awful. This is the last thing you need. Is there anyone you can appeal to or can the parent company pick you up?

Thanks, lorin...but no appeal seems to be available. I have learned from the customer manager that one of the issues is that I am the most expensive vendor they have on this team. Ironic, considering that the rate for this engagement is only about 75% of what I was making in my last real job.

This is the risk one runs when working as part of a team where most people are of an age where they could be my kids...

The company representing me says they will try to place me elsewhere...but every contract firm says that at the end of an engagement. Walking of that talk is far less common.

On the way home we stopped at Lake Chabot and rented a rowboat and rowed around for an hour....

I knew I was wrong as soon as I posted, very beautiful, however.

Anyway, didn't burn down the house, did everything by the book but, apparently, cut the meat into cubes instead of putting the entire roast into the crock pot...oops!

Looks like you had a blast, Jenn.
I had a great day yesterday. I got to talk to my family on Skype, and they sang to me. My boss brought a cake to work, and she and my coworker sang to me. I brought a pecan pie, so we had delicious snacks in the teacher's room all day. Some of my students brought me cards they made for me. I even received a few gifts. The strangest gift I received was half a lemon, but I think that was because the student was eating the lemon, and in Korean culture people like to share food with one another.
Today I am very tired. Luckily 3 of the six classes I'll be teaching will be reviewing yesterday's tests and playing games, 1 will be a conversation about ghosts and UFOs, and 1 will be a test that will take the entire class period. Only one class in which I'll have to do any actual teaching. Today's the last day of the session--next week we start the April session.
I look forward to a relaxing weekend. I hope.

Sheesh. Been a busy week. Moved offices to new premises. Now my machine is packing up. It's the screen crad, but to get a new one, I need a new motherboard, which means I might as well get new everything.

Seems ok for the 'net for now, but nothing else works without crashing it. Means it's gonna be another expensive month.
