THE MORTALITY SEQUENCE / VARIATION
Pink Floyd 1972
Music: Wright
'The Mortality Sequence' was the instrumental piece between 'Time/Breathe (reprise)' and 'Money' in the early performances of 'Dark Side Of The Moon'. It was mainly strange keyboard chords and dubbed speeches and bible readings. This was (thank God) replaced by Clare Torry's vocals and changed to 'The Great Gig In The Sky' before the album was recorded.

I've been hearing other teams' fans gloating over the fall of the dynasty, and Cris Carter has even said on Yahoo! sports that "...they had a great run, and I think this defeat will put an end to New England's status as a championship contender."
Us Patriot fans, of course, know that this is not the case. Brady is young, and we have a young core of talented players that will continue to improve. With Harrison returning to solidify the young secondary that really stepped up to the challenge, the Patriots will clearly be the AFC team to beat as the Colts will be facing salary cap hell this offseason. I believe that in the draft, the Patriots will be looking for some young depth at RB (LenDale White maybe?? -- hey, I can hope) as well as help at ILB and OLB. With a healthy Corey, and some depth and a future starter behind him, we won't be turning a fullback for rushing duties (no slight to Heath Evans though) in case of injuries.
What we learned this weekend is that there is a team that can beat the New England Patriots in the playoffs, and its not the Denver Broncos. The Patriots put up over 400 yards offensively, and smothered the Denver rushing attack, and played very well against the pass. If you look at the box score of the game, it looks horribly one-sided, until you look at the turnovers, and ultimately, the score. The New England Patriots defeated themselves, and won't do it again.
With no uncertainty surrounding Tedy Bruschi, no surprise retirements, a clean bill of health, and the sting of a painful playoff loss, the Patriots will be more motivated and prepared than ever: 4 out of 6, the Dynasty still lives!

Butternut Squash Flan with Spinach and Fonduta Sauce
Ingredients: Flan:
1 lb. of butternut squash pulp
½ cup onion, diced
3 tbs. olive oil
Nutmeg
¼ lb. grated Parmigiano Reggiano
6 eggs
2 cups heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Non-stick baking spray
Spinach:
1 tbs. butter
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 lb. spinach, leaves cleaned
Salt and pepper to taste
Fonduta sauce:
½ lb. Fontina cheese, cut into cubes
1 ½ cups milk
2 tbs. butter
3 egg yolks
Directions: Cut the squash in half and bake at 300°F for 45 minutes. When cooled, scoop out the pulp and pass it through sieve.
Sauté onion in olive oil. In a blender, puree squash pulp and onions. Add Parmigiano Reggiano and blend, then add eggs and nutmeg, and blend again. Add heavy cream and blend for 2 minutes at medium speed. The mixture should be liquid but not thin. Season to taste. Spray individual molds with non-stick baking spray and fill with the mixture. Bake at 300°F in bain marie for 40 minutes.
Saute garlic in butter, add spinach and season with salt and pepper. Braise until the spinach is wilted.
Soak cheese in milk for 2 hours. Over a double boiler, begin to whisk cheese and milk. Add butter until the mixture becomes smooth. Add egg yolks and whisk until the mixture becomes smooth.
To serve the flan:
Line plates with fonduta sauce and set spinach in the center. Place each flan on top of the spinach and decorate with butternut squash chips (fried thin slices of fresh squash).

Theres an almighty mud fight between Galdriel and Elena, in a pool of hurtloam, whereby both gets healed after each blow. Soon an assortment of males of all intelligent species crowd round, cheering and gambling. Humans, elves, hobbits, orcses, dwarves, giants, stonedowners, lords, healers, haruchai, ramen...
A whole city get built around the ongoing mud-fight with all the trappings of a sleazy city...
After a while a ceasure falls upon Mudfight City, sweeping everyone in its path, except for four who ducks into the mud at the very last moment.
The four emerges, muddy. The two males declare the mudfight a draw, and dedied that a beauty contest should settle the matter.
Both males voted for Galadriel, who being elven, is more beautiful even in hurtloam.
So there we have it, Galadriel wins.
Then the two males begins to fight over the right for her hand in marriage.
The two males are Frodo Baggins and Bannor.

visiting my family on Long Island for the next few days. Thus, while I am here there will be no art updates.
I am a very pleased Addeh monkey right now because I came across several songs(that have been out of production for a long time) that I never thought I would get the chance to hear. Now, if I could find "The Jangolier", "William Sits In Avalon", "Before you go", and "Full Moon In Pisces" I would, most definitely, be one of the happiest people in the world. Though I have never heard the Jangolier or William the lyrics have a place very close to my heart. ((le sigh))
I have been writing out character ref./bio for several of my characters like Plastic, Gustavi, Loki, etc. and will hopefully be posting them on my character journal (below) at some point in the next few days...Just thought that I would give an update on that.

would like to see if the Texans could put together a package together that includes David Carr, Jonathan Wells and their second round pick with the Saints for their top pick. If they could pull this off they could take Reggie Bush with their second pick. The Texans would have a dream offense with Young, Bush, Domanick Davis and wide receiver Andre Johnson. The Saints have an outstanding running back in Deuce McAlister and may not ask for Domanick Davis. Carr has experience and is mobile and Matt Leinart is not. It will take Leinart time to make an immediate impact on the Saints.
