That's the next upgrade - can't use it yet but probably very soon.

Reminds me that I need to go through my bank and clean out any enchanting stuff that's grey for me. I probably have some decent stuff for the guild bank. That's another problem with enchanting - all the various shards and dusts and essences all look the same to me. I couldn't tell you if brilliant is better than radiant or what either one is used for. Never had that problem with engineering; I could always remember the order and value of various metals and stones and gems...

Almost maxed out Timkins' Engineering (for his level range). And bankrupted both characters in the process. I should probably level him up some so he can actually use the stuff.

If you happen to come across the Sniper Scope schematic at a decent price (100 gold or so), it will pay for itself very quickly.

What an evening of questing is good for: replaced my helm, neck, cloak, gloves, and pants (twice) today. All from quests around the same area, too.

Very nice! Love the wings!

I think I am starting to get the hang of melee fighting. Only took me, what... let's take into account all the games I have played including text-based ones back in the dark ages... uh... about 15 years.

Still needs work; I'm a bit confuzzled about what to do when they run away - generally I pop up and moonfire them or wait for them to come back, but sometimes they come back with friends and there must be a better solution. Bear form has charge/stun, but it requires rage points in advance, so I can't swap from cat to bear and use it immediately.

Love the uber-calm night elf voice: "Not enough energy." "Not enough rage." Heh.

Here's an interesting account of a science conference held in Azeroth.

Now that's cool...

Not that the rest of the game isn't cool; this is just something I can relate to without being a player myself.

I'm a little annoyed at the minute. One ofthe dailies involes having a flare follow you around while you kill certain mobs, and while I was out doing that, some other player was cheating--he was in his flying mount, and he was just sitting in the air following other players around while they did the killing for him.

Edit: the next time I saw his flare heading over, I bubbled and ran until the mob disengaged, then /rude at him.

but do your kills count for him if you're not grouped with him, murrin?
that doesn't make any sense to me. he couldn't get credit for
killing certain mobs unless he was takin shots from his plane
and gettin at least one shot on the mob without you knowing.
is that possible?

The flares charge up when one of the mobs dies near them; I could see the graphic when it happened. It doesn't count the kills for the player, it's just the flare that matters. So yeah, he was getting credit.

what a turd.

turds abound in Azeroth as well as the "real" world.

ger went to Arathi Basin BG last night for the first time and
a group of turds corpse-camped his entire team in the graveyard
for the duration of the battle. turds.

You see that a lot there. People will RUN at you if they see you killing one, but they will often you help kill it. Not the first time I've seen/heard of people just being lazy.

Beats the first time I did that quest. My flare ended up in my face when it went critical, and I couldn't get it to move. As I was staggering around blindly trying to get it behind me, I got into Kazzak's aggro radius. One hit. And you have to start all over if you die.

Corpse-camping is generally considered acceptable in battlegrounds. It's annoying, but if your whole team is being camped it means it's going to be a very short fight.

Not to say that there aren't creeps in battlegrounds; battlegrounds are usually where you find the most creeps.

Best thing to do is go with a group of people you know. I used to belong to an all-hunter AB team. It was great fun, especially since the other people in the battleground would take a look around and rant about the number of hunters. "Do we have enough :soapbox: hunters?!" "Oh my god, it's a :soapbox: hunter premade!"

It worked for two reasons. We had excellent communication, and nothing could stand in our way when we zerged. I miss those guys...
