All I got in the mail was my monthly bank statement, plus an envelope that asked the burning question: Still single?

"Yes, we're the relationship people, and we can help YOU meet with an axe murderer just right for you..."

On a totally unrelated topic: I was just digging around in a box of stuff (I have lots of boxes of stuff!!!) but in this one I found a publicity poster for Mordants Need (Mirror of Her Dreams) which I must have had since I was 13 or something. It's just SO funny (well, I think it is): photos of SRD coming out of mirrors. I must take a photo of it for ya all. Come to think of it: I must sell it on eBay. Would probably make me a small fortune!

My day veered off course. The water heater sprang a leak this morning and now there's only warm water.

I'll have to call my friend, a plumber, over and take the day off to take care of it. But then again, I should have some more time later to hang out here.

Cut myself at work this morning on a piece of very sharp broken glass, right after half a pallete of honey jars fell on my bad leg.

Just returned from dealing with start of year issues at Beorn's school. Paperwork, bleh. I truly hope that's it, but I doubt it.

Ah, school-related paperwork -- another thing I don't have to worry about anymore, now that the girls are over 18 and can sign their own damn paperwork. Altho I still have to sign for the school loans, bleah.

Damelon, hope your water issues get resolved. EL, hope your leg's not cut too badly (at least honey is supposed to have some antiseptic properties...). Lore, feel better soon! Sea, where do I sign up to get presents in the mail? All I ever get is bills...

Oh, and Menolly, I really like the recent addition to your sig. I need to get one of those bumper stickers (as soon as I get a little more real estate on my bumper...).

Oh yeah, so how am I today? Pretty okay. MagickMaker rode in on the bus with me -- she's going to the old neighborhood to hang out with some friends one last time before heading off to college, and she also made sure to give one of my co-workers some grief. My co-worker's son is going to college this fall for the first time, too, and Co-Worker told me yesterday that she might have to leave work early on Friday in order to pack his stuff for him. I managed to talk her out of that, but she says she's still planning to put his clothes away for him and make his bed at the dorm before they leave. MagickMaker told her she was being ridiculous. Atta girl!

I cut myself on a finger while cleaning up the spill -- glass is, apparently, invisible in honey.

Thanks aliantha. That sticker has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I want to add the Republicans for Voldemort one as well, but I need to ask someone to make the images much smaller. Even I think the one I'm using is too big.

Hmmm, (leafs through Hanbook of Applied Chemistry and Physics) the refraction indexes are indeed very similar....
