Don't worry, Jel. Set your alarm for Arkansas. You can snooze through the rest of the season.
I hope y'all kill 'em.

One more roadblock...December 3rd at te Georgia Dome. A home game for the Dawgs for the SEC Championship. People are saying that LSU would likely still get to New Orleans even with a loss...but I hope that they can go into the Big Easy unblemished.
What a magical season it has been...

I believe I heard Verne Lundquist say yesterday that the coaches believe LSU will have an even better team next year?
Unbelievable...

Thanks LSU for crushing UGA -- what a beautiful sight to behold, it almost made up for this piss poor football season.

And no matter what the outcome, for the sixth straight year the SEC will take home the National Championship!
SEC! SEC!! SEC!!!
Other conferences? What other conferences?
Still...Go LSU!

And I have to confess... I am a fan of the Honey Badger.

I am so glad that he is going to New Yortk for the Heisman ceremony. He won't win, but it is an extreme honor to be one of the finalists. He is only a sophomore and he should start the season next year on the Heisman watch list.
...after all, he takes what he wants...

Even though Baylor has a Heisman contender and is favored in the Alamo Bowl, I have to choose my UW Huskies.
As for Oregon vs. Wisconsin...while I bear Exnihilotto no mallards, I have to pick the Ducks over the Badgers in the Rose Bowl.

92 yds. Is it the worst performance ever? I'll leave that up to Tiger fans to research...

I didn't watch the game last night, figuring it would be as unwatchable as the first time they played. Looks like it wasn't a wrong assumption.

It has taken me nearly a full 24 hours to even show my face around here...an utterly uninspired, dismal and absolutely pathetic display of any offensive playcalling and execution.
Well at least I still have the Saints.
Pardon me while I climb back under my rock until Saturday afternoon...

No matter how low any SEC team gets, SEC fans can always say this:
At least we're not Penn State.

Which reminds me,
Anyone know what this means?
Reuters wrote:The governing body of U.S. college sports on Monday [...] voided [Penn state's] football victories for the past 14 seasons [...]
Is that like, they take the trophies away, and give them to the second place team? Probably not, but I can't fathom what it might really mean.

No, it doesn't change the result of the games, but it vacates the wins for Penn State in terms of their records.

it takes away the wins from Joe Paterno. so in the record books he is no longer number one in wins.
i believe he now ranks 8th. saves the ncaa from having someone who harbored a child rapist as their leader in games won.

Good going Tigers for giving her a shot.
In Mo Isom trying to make history this week at LSU it was wrote:
“She just won’t give up.”
If only every college football player – namely Tyrann Mathieu – could have Mo Isom’s mentality, more college athletes could excel at what they do.
She’s still trying to become the first female football player in SEC history. And she won’t give up.
Isom went out for the LSU football team in the spring as a place kicker. She was unsuccessful at that time, but she still has the faith that she can make the coveted roster spot this fall.
Isom is the former homecoming queen and a star soccer player for the Tigers. And she has one more year of eligibility left.
So, tomorrow and Wednesday are her tryout days for the Tigers.
Captain Trey Urban @capturban 2 Aug 12
@MoIsom89 hey your highness tigress, how long till we find out if you made the team? the suspense is killin me!
Mo Isom @MoIsom89
@capturban My tryouts are Aug. 21 and 22. So fingers crossed and prayers appreciated!

thanks for your support!
LSU already has one of the best special teams in the SEC, with the top punter in Brad Wing and kicker Drew Alleman, and the roster is saturated with athletes lining up to be kick returners.
But Isom, the competitor, wants to earn this spot. It’s unlikely that she beats out current place kicker Drew Alleman, and I guarantee you she doesn’t want to be given anything, not even a place in history.
But Isom wouldn’t be your average female donning pads. She’s 6-1, and around 195 pounds. In comparison, the starter Alleman is 5-10, 185 pounds.
She has repeatedly said, “I just want to do whatever I can to continue to be a Tiger.”
The general temperature around the SEC is “if she can rightly earn the spot, let her play”. That’s what I say, too.
And she would have it no other way.
Here's hoping she can earn a spot.

And two posts in a row from me regarding LSU.
...well, in this case, their fans.
