I love that last shot. He *knows* he's in trouble....
We used to have a cat who would *always* try to "help" me make the bed. She would also crawl under the bedspread and go to sleep -- offering riotous fun for the humans who then got to poke the "lump".

Great Moose picks Jenn! Check out what four hours of ultra light 5 lb line fishing got me on the outer pier of the Copenhagen habour...

See how fresh they are? Rigor mortis still prevents some of the heads from slacking. Those are garfish btw. Biggest 470 g smallest 290 g. Three of them were females. I got about 200 g of roe, that I poached and chopped up with chives, salt, peper, mayo and lemon juice to make a scrummy spreadable sandwich filling.

Those fish are sooooo cool, Prebe. I especially like Prebe Jr's hand in the first one. Make sure you show him the latest pictures of Thor/Moose!

I do have more Moose running photos but I am worried that I am overloading the photog thread with them. Maybe I should make a seperate Moose Adventures thread or something.

Thanks Jenn. They ARE cool fish. Like little marlins when caught using the right (light) gear. Prebe jr. was fascinated to no end. I'll make sure that I show him Mooses latest antics.
Edit: To those who want to experiment with garfish roe: don't. The fish themselves are delicious but apparently there's a reason that you don't eat the roe: it tastes like a dirty bicycle chain. That's about the closest simili I could come up with. Well, that what comes from being bold: I wasted some chives and a tsps of mayo

yes agreed!...i think, at this point, the Mooseman
deserves his own photo thread.

with the Mooseman!!

Great fish Prebe!!
Jenn - yes Moose definitely deserves his own thread!

I love that last pic once he has curled up on the bed - looking guilty!
Here are some pictures from London Zoo last week - my camera but taken by the b/f, not me:
some very pretty butterflies:

and then a rather large moth!

Wow. I am not a fan of huge moths, but that's pretty awesome.

Gorgeous pictures, Chrysalis! I like butterflies, but for some strange reason I LOVE moths.

Those moths were cool! At first we didn't know if they were real as they just sat there - totally still and lifeless. I'd never seen any that big before!
We had to be careful as many of the butterflies were flying around us - I was so worried about accidently brushing one away and hurting it!

FOR BGB
Son of Seareach says "bet you're wishing you could catch fish like this!!"
SALMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
of course the truth is less glamorous: my little sh*t of a son came home and said "hey...look what we caught mummy" and I'm saying "what a clever boy you are...let me get my camera" and I'm taking photos and stuff and then his sh*t of a father says "we'd better tell mummy the truth" and the truth was they had caught tiddlers off the jetty and then a boat came in and offered up some fish and muscles for free. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN...gutted fish brought home... HA!

Heh! Good one Seareach!
But those aren't salmon, but perhaps that was a part of the sting as well?
It looks like some sort of sea-bream.

Actually the one without a head isn't a salmon (can't remember what that one was--it does look like a bream). But the other two are Australian Salmon.
And Cag...yes...that's a terrible photo of SoS...and hopefully he doesn't grow up to look like that dude.

who is that guy anyway?
Oh and Chrys I meant to say those butterfly pics are just SO wonderful and OMG that one that's bigger than a hand is amazing! Wish I could see a butterfly like that in real life! We have a butterfly house at the Melbourne Zoo but there aren't huge ones like that.

Gilbert Gottfried, the most annoying man in the universe. The resemblence to your poor son is, of course, terrifying.

I Think Gilbert Gottfreid is funny
