In honor of your governor, and keeping the Kermit theme, I think you should call it the Kerminator.

Your dog is still ungodly adorable. I suppose that's as dogs were meant to be...
I've always thought that Sacco & Vanzetti would be a good name for a vehicle. I don't know why!

Hey, I'm back! Don't know if you missed me but I've been in the hospital and convalescing since Father's Day. I got my dam lymphoma/staff cellulitus again (fifth time since 1980 when it almost, seriously, killed me) and this time it had a secondary infection that attacked my foot, which had never happened before. I'm not totally healed, still on a mess of antibiotics, but home, walking around and doing a bunch of things. Actually, today is the first day I can sit on the comp without being in pain.
The good news/bad news I got out of all this was an ultrasound they did on my liver and spleen: My platelets in my spleen was incredibly low (but turned super healthy by the time I was released) and my liver is at a very intense turning point. Basically, if this wasn't caught and I continued drinking, I would have fallen into irreversible liver damage. So this illness basically saved my life. No more alcohol for me ever---which is kinda bad news, but it wasn't really doing anything for me anyway, just being a bad habit...So here's to health and joy and life! I'm very happy to be alive and on the Watch!

Well, very glad to hear you are doing better, but sad to hear that your drinking days are done. Although it's probably a good thing overall.
Take care and get better! We miss you!

I think I know a bit about where you're coming from, finally. You are extremely brave to be posting about things like this. Good to see you back, of course we missed you.

danlo, it's real good to have you back, and you're even looking at the bright side of things. Take good care of yourself, or you won't find out how the Chronicles ends, you know?

It was an exciting night. The bees swarmed and took a vantage home search and resting point in the neighbor's lemon tree. Chris and I ran down and got a "nuke" to get them in and it went pretty smooth. I finally got stung on my back. I felt the girls crawling around and before I could lift up and let them loose one stung me. The other one made it out of the back of my sweatshirt. Honestly it was nothing and now I got it over with. Anyway, we now have two colonys of bees. In case there is confusion, when a hive is doing really well and the space gets limited the resident queen lays queen eggs and says, you half stay here and you half come with me and lets find a new home. Swarming is a good thing in this case. Chris was an amazing trooper, climbing up in the tree and cutting the limb with about forty pounds of bees down and shaking them into the new boxes. It was incredible. He is a bee master. tomorrow I fly to oregon so probably off the watch for the weekend. Hope you all have a great 40J day.

*Sigh* Sometimes, I just don't understand people. So I told my dad that I believe that morality exists seperate from God (IOW, God commands something because it is good, not something is good because God commanded it), and he got all defensive and seemed to take it that I was saying that "God changes" (which, I believe, is a different story all together). He then got into one of those rants you don't interrupt if you want it to end as soon as possible talking about how "God can't change, cause if He changed, he'd cease to be God! And the learned are foolish because they think they are wise but do not follow the councils of God, but to be learned is good if you follow the councils of God, etc." *sigh* Why is it that I'm the one to be ranted at when someone doesn't understand what I'm saying? We're going to see fireworks tomorrow, which will be fun, except for the drive up there. According to life experience, the drive up and possibly back will be parts two and three of the rant against an idea I never expressed.
Of course, all this doesn't mean I don't think God changes

Uh, there is no god.

(But don't tell him...I don't think he'd take it well.

)
Danlo! Welcome back. Glad to hear you're gonna be alright.
