Hey, I'm not talking Steely Dan, Led Zepplin or Soft Machine as Burroughs would have you believe! More like blasting Panthera at 100 decibels when I'm home alone doing the, ah, dishes, yeah that's the ticket... :P

danlo : pantera is a fine texas metal band. good taste for blasting purposes. Vulgar Display of Power is an awesome album that i really need to find at half price books.

jenn : julie has a very wild side. she will kill me for saying it. ask her sometime. :)

I can't do 80s hair, but love old Metallica, Uli Roth era Scorpions, seen the Perfect Strangers tour, Megadeth, Queensryche, old Sabbath, Blackmore's Rainbow, Ronnie James Dio, Pat Travers, Uriah Heep, BOC the list goes on and on (check my profile on facebook, my tastes are pretty eclectic)-I like heavy alt rock and grunge more, probably-like STP, Soundgarden, Disturbed, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Bush, Tool, SofaD, Deftones, Offspring, Weezer...only two Korn songs and please, please no Linkin Park or Creed please!

so when do we start the commune? one of us must be stinking rich...
I'm a freelance writer, which is feast or famine at the best of times. In the bad times, it's just famine. I do have a couple of acres and a pond as long as I keep paying the mortgage somehow, though, so perhaps the commune can have humble beginnings here.

Not to distract from the Hippie/Metal love-fest turn the thread has taken [god forbid! I'd like a hippie/metal love-fest in my back yard!]

But wasn't there supposed to be some video of the SRD chat posted [I assume at srd's site?]

SOMEONE GET BUSY! If I can't fest for real, I need my dose of vicariousness...you won't like me when I'm vicariousless!

If you've read any of my back posts you'd know I was receiving the shot footage today, maybe I'll withhold it just from YOU for being so dam pushy. No I won't do that, I'll just ban you. I'm joking, but you know what? I do this every Elohimfest and it takes time from the initial editing (complicated this time as the sub-contracted videographer was shooting a film in Texas and took the spool with him, if you must know). I'm reviewing the full product tomorrow to see if it's up to standard (and then paying them). THEN I will IMMEDIATELY priority mail the CD (yes I will have more than one backup) to Romeo and THEN he'll edit it as he sees fit and THEN he'll put it on the official SRD website.

Someone get busy!? As they say on The Jim Rome Show, "We're "efforting"...in the meantime bite me!!! :P :P :P :P :P :P :P 8)

(PS I do have a life and contrary to popular belief none of you yahoos pay me to be an admin! Grrr )

BAH...don't take my blathering too seriously, I was just having fun with my own impatience. [Besides, I'm nobody important and certainly not the boss of you......especially since I couldn't ban anyone if my life depended on it]
I did read the previous stuff about it, BTW, it's just in my head I thought stage 1, when you got it back was last weekend.

p.s. I do believe you have a life. It's on KW. The stuff you DO get paid for is the shared hallucination.

As a married man, I shall refrain from any more strident defense of your considerable charms. 'Twould be unseemly, but I could totally do it.

  • I spend the day your way
    Call it morning driving
    Through the sound
    In an' out the valley

    In and around the lake
Mountains come out of the sky
    And they stand there...
Yes, it has been a gorgeous weekend here. The mountains have definitely come out of the sky; and despite the absence that implies, they are spectacular.
