Sooo badly. This is one of the busiest work months for me though. Told I can take time off next month, but it's always next month. There is no one that can cover me.Avatar wrote:I need another weekend...

I broached the subject of vacation today, and was met with a passive-aggressive response that I'm going to translate as: "I can't really refuse, but I wish I could." Meaning he will approve it, but I will probably be bullied into cancelling it. Which is about what I expected, considering that's what happened the last three times. Grr...

Woohoo for Stevie!
Sorus, don't let yourself be bullied, take that vacation!

I worked out a temporary deal with my roommate and got my internet turned back on ... for now. So that's kind of nice, but now I have a distraction to keep me from worrying about my future again, which isn't necessarily a good thing.
I've been jogging about every other day for the last week and a half, and went on another run today. It's depressing to discover just how bad out of shape I am, and it's discouraging that it hasn't gotten any easier yet.
Tomorrow is "Large Trash Pickup" day in Cameron, so I went trash collecting this evening. Scored a working 42" LCD tv (why would *anyone* throw out a working tv?) and a 6 foot tall carpeted play-tower for the kitty cats (which they love, Saturn is sleeping on top of it right now).
So, woohoo, good day for me: internet, run, and free goodies!

Monday... Bleh...
Time change.... double bleh...
Went to bed early and every time I was almost asleep my brain would pop up with 'Hey, guess what?! I found something for you to have an anxiety attack about!' Then getting up at what my already traitorous brain knew was really 2 AM. Then starting my morning fighting off (not quite literally) a random crazy person on the way to the train station - a situation that would have been avoided if the time hadn't changed. Probably. This neighborhood has a lot of random crazy people.

Tuesday.... Bleh...
Came home from work to find that my upstairs neighbors detonated their washing machine again, and this time did not bother sweeping the water out the back door. So it all came through my ceiling. Directly over my bed. Not as bad as when the water heater broke - that was gallons and gallons that came through everywhere and ruined most of my books and nearly took out my computer - but still enough to win me a bonus trip to the laundromat. Yay.

It's tempting. I could use a change of scenery. And you do have wombats, which are awesome. But you also have spiders the size of wombats, which isn't awesome.
Anyway, less chat, more laundry. Back later.
