I'll go home and take a quick hit of the bong while I think of you Sleepless. :D (I'm 30...but it's only been 10 years. (Well, 10 years daily, anyway.) )

Good luck. :D

Hang in there with the withdrawal, Sleepless (bet you're finding that name ironic right now!) Been there, and I promise you it's worth it.

Good Geelong vibes going out now.
thankyou kindly Edge, appreciate the support :-) - and yeah, the username has taken on rather an ironic slant of late 8O

I'm happy to give them a try; I've attempted to give up smoking dope a few times in the past and relapsed, the meds seem to be helping subdue the cravings and anxiety .. we'll see I s'pose - it's been 17 days without a pipe, so that's a fair start ..

Sorry to hear of your loss Wyld.

owwwwwww....I have a toothache, and my insurance kicks in Nov. 1st. That figures, doesn't it?

I'm going to have to take care of it before then. Stupid fate.

Well, I'm feeling a strange combination. I'm sick and my stomache hurts, but I just won a signed copy of Fatal Revenant, so I'm also SUPER happy!

How weird feeling.

Do you have a local dental school? That's where I go sans insurance.

Impatient! Frustrated!

I've been in the same job for just over ten years now, and for nine and a bit, it's been great. This last year has been crap though. Far too much stress, no support, no recognition of a job well done.

So I've been lining up a new one - better pay, less hours, more support, less stress, nice boss, still walk-able to work.

Everything's arranged, and I'm just waiting for the final contract to come through so I can sign it and give in my notice in current job.

First draft came through - wrong! New boss said he'd get it sorted, but corrected contract hasn't yet arrived. HR departments deserve to be burned in hellfire for all eternity, and even then should count themselves lucky!

SleeplessOne wrote:...the AFL team that I follow, Geelong, is in the Grand Final on Saturday - the sheer anxiety of it all !! The Cats haven't won a premiership in *44 goddamn years* and have failed to win their last 5 Grand Final games, four of which I witnessed .. if they lose again on Saturday it'll be sheer misery, if they win I'll be completely, irrationally ecstatic ..
So, the Cats won...hugest winning margin in AFL grand final history (can't remember the actual score but it was more than 100 points!). Hope your head don't hurt too much today Sleepless One.

Me..er...really tired and wish this cold/flu thing would f*ck off once and for all.
