Good luck, balon!

I ended up teaching 6 P.E. classes yesterday. I had to organize kickball games for 3rd-8th graders. It was a blast, except for the 3rd graders shouting about every little thing they thought was not quite fair, which was pretty much everything. I ended up telling them that the next person to argue about my fairness would argue with me about it in front of the principal. That almost had an effect on them. The older kids weren't a problem at all once they understood that the rule changes were for safety's sake. (Falling on blacktop isn't fun, nor is getting hit by a car while retrieving balls that go across the street.)

Other than that, life's just peachy. Looking forward to Xarfest and Jennfest this weekend, and hoping nobody bans me from the festivities for being sick...?

I'm crabby...I've been fasting all day and have to start drinking the horrid Go Lytely in an hour for my real (they gave me the wrong date a month ago) colonoscopy tomorrow morning...ack

Good news today!

Eighteen months after being "Chased" out of my job when the FDIC gave the bank I worked for to JP Morgan Chase in order to stampede the Congress into passing TARP...and six months after I walked away from a new job that almost destroyed my family, I finally landed what I believe is the position that just might keep me busy for the decade-and-a-half before I retire.

New gig is with Microsoft. Heh! I interviewed with them in 1980, before anyone knew who they were. Seemed a scruffy bunch and I did not take them too seriously. Imagine, if you will, what things would be like if I had gotten that job. I would be retired and have enough money to buy an island somewhere...

Oh, well. Rear-view mirror. At least I have a new job! :letsparty:

Tonight I'm touched that a friend took a little of my craziness to heart when she spotted something at her grocery store that she knew I needed in a few days and also knew I was unsure I would be able to get it for myself.

I am busy today, for once, and looking forward to it. I get to be a P.E. teacher again, and then I'm doing judo tonight. I may have time in between to visit with a friend I don't see very often. The weatherman said there are supposed to be thunderstorms today, but my personal forecast is sunny.

No polyps no sweat! Everything went perfectly AND one of my best friends, Joe, was my staff nurse...it was a very nice nap and now they don't want to see me again for another 10 years!
