If it was funny and well written, is there any chance you kept a copy of it for yourself before deleting? If so, will you PM it to me? I think I would enjoy seeing it, even if it is too nasty for the boards...

Please???

Oh, I see, so now I'm a slaver driver is it? Heck I didn't even know that forum existed until this morning. I meant, like, in RL or maybe you need to help EL dye his hair?

I feel tired. I am going to try to get out of work early even though I came in late. We got some cleaning to do.

good. at 5 we go see if the fair people gave us any ribbons this year. (one painting and two collages.) last year i was entered in Arts & Crafts, this year they decided I was Fine Arts. I am moving up in the world! :) after we head to Pearland to check out the new Half Price books. I am desperate to find some James Joyce and Gertrude Stein for cheap.

I feel pretty good. Work went well today -- I think it's partly because I'm working without pain for the first time in a couple of months so YAY. I'm feeling very grateful to be moving about normally again.

Plus the new ipod installed itself without any hassles. Incredible.

Plus when I went to make some curried rice from a mix I bought at Target, I discovered that I had no milk. :( But I had a can of coconut milk and it worked! :)!!

I feel better. I think I have finally come down from my panic over the second fire. Ugh. Bloodguard Bob and I cleaned massively after I came home when he called to say that the house next door was still on fire. I cut myself a few times cleaning the glass up in the sun porch from where they broke out the windows of the house that shares our wall. I also hosed all the char and ash and chunks of burnt house from the apartment porches upstairs as well as ours. BGB cleaned all the stinky burn water that came in through our kitchen thank to the secondary burning. I still keep thinking f%#k and then realizing that we are so f*%^ng lucky, so damn lucky so lucky lucky lucky. All our stuff is safe. A few of my books got wet and warped but NONE of the SRD stuff. The place next door was gutted. I cried when I saw it. They lost EVERYTHING. If anyone is confused then please consult the "What did you do/are you doing this weekend. " thread.

I also want to insist that everyone who reads this please immediately go hug a loved one and TELL them you love them. Do it NOW. Do it for me and if you want to then tell me who it was and why, that would make me smile and it will certainly make me feel better. You never know what might happen. We never imagined that an electrical fire would nearly burn our place down from two doors down the street. The people who's apartment had the fire first were not at home thus the delay on calling the fire department and the ferocity of the fire but also they lost all three of their cats. Hug someone dammit. Hug them NOW.

Thanks for the hugs. Not sure how well I am going to sleep tonight knowing the fire alarm was destroyed in the fire. Ugh. But yes, so freaking glad we are ok. Can't stop thinking about how lucky we were.

Oh! Somehow I totally missed this post.

I'm teasing danlo, I know you didn't know of the Cantina.

And RL responsibilities?

...don't ask...

Annual IEP at new school, dealing with new administration that wants to do away with Beorn's OT first thing in the morning.

Yeah...I'm a little apprehensive...

...hold it...

You haven't made it down to Gator Town yet. I have yet to claim any responsibility...

Hey Jenn and BB: damn! Glad you're both aok! How scary.

As for me: the heavily abridged version is that these lumps are just the same as the other ones (no tests to prove this--just a "logical deduction" on the behalf of the idiot I got to see... :P). That said, I've been told if these new lumps get bigger to come back immediately...er...which was kinda what they said to me the first time: if this lump gets bigger or you get another one come back immediately. In the meantime she's told me to wait 3 months before a rescreening (the story's a bit more complicated than that but anyway...).

So, I give up. It's either nothing or when I can feel it in my lymph nodes then I should be worried...apparently... :P

In the meantime, I'm fighting a virus (hence the glands up in my neck...apparently...)

... oh, who gives a f*ck! I've got more important things to worry about!

So you're all stuck with me as I am "well".

Sea, does your medical system allow for second opinions? Not that I think it's necessary, but if it would ease your mind for a second physician to either confirm this approach, or to investigate further, perhaps it is worth pursuing.

In either case, we're here for you to vent to.

{{{hugs}}}

Well, if we have to be stuck with someone, I'm glad it's you, Sea.

I'm glad, Jenn, that you and BGB are ok, even if your place is not. |G

Apprehensive.

Hyperception and I are to attend Beorn's annual IEP (Individual Educational Plan) in about half an hour. New school, new administration, new issues to deal with. They already have my dander up by saying on the invitation that they want to discuss the possibility of discharging him from OT. Uhm...this is the student whose home room teacher told me at Open House he arrives each day looking like he is totally overwhelmed and in shock for the first ten minutes of class. I am positive he still needs the sensory guidance OT gives him. But, they may strictly be looking at it from a handwriting POV, and since he has been issued an alpha-smart via his IEP, handwriting is no longer an issue except in Geometry, where his teacher mentioned to us at Open House that he needs to work of legibility. Of course, it turns out his Geormetry teacher hadn't looked at his IEP, and didn't realize he has handwriting issues.

Aaaargh!!!

Then, although he had requested the day off or at least permission to come in to work late, the request was denied at Hyperception's work, so I am off to the meeting alone. *sigh*

...mama bear's got her dander up...WATCH OUT!!!...
