Hey, I gave you as much sympathy for your dead gramma as you gave me for mine. :P

Sorry, but my ex is a Czech, so I's gots no sympathy for 'em!

Speaking of grammer, am I the only mod who fixes grammatical errors (RE:null) in their forums?

I don't fix anybody's grammar. Too much like my day job.

All Czechs aren't nuts like your ex, dAN. I mean, we may all be nuts, but we're not all *that* nuts...

And if I am not mistaken, this did not start with grammar humor, but punctuation humor.

Of course, I have been less than punctual pointing that out...which adds a few gratuitous level to the humor.

I do it. Sometimes. If it's really bad. I've never had the fortitude to take on Null's posts though...

I think it's because you post more in my forums than anyone else. Also, it's not misspelling exactly; it's slopp y spac ebar usag e.

Get well soon Sea.

I'll be going in for surgery myself next Thursday. It's just a fatty tumor that is being removed, so not that big of deal, and I won't be at work or at the computer for almost a week.

Hope it goes without a hitch Cag.

I've been busier than ever - work, family, kids soccer, swimming etc etc. I'm looking forward to Easter and a few days off.

Speedy recovery, Cag!

Stevie G -- you get time off at Easter? That's so unfair.

Went to a big reception tonight for my undergrad alma mater. The president of the university was there, as well as a bunch of administrators, including the dean of the journalism school. Which makes sense as we're celebrating the 100th anniversary of the J-school this year. (They hit us up for money, of course. ) All I can say is, it's a good thing they flashed the words to the alma mater up on the wall when they made us get up and sing, because I *totally* never learned them. The fight song, I know. The alma mater...uh...: Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm frangipana hmm hmm hmm HAIL TO OLD I.U.!

 That's essentially what I've been telling my daughters' university.... And yes, they've been hitting me up for donations since the first one enrolled there. Kind of unbelievable.

I feel triumphant.

I'm going to college--again! In spring 2012 I'll be getting my Master of Library and Information Science. Just sent all the required info off (transcript, resume and such), and I've got a pretty good feeling (but anybody would with a 3.8 GPA  ). So in a little over a year I'll have all I need to get paid 45 to 50,000 dollars to sit on my ass, surrounded by books.

Screw teaching!

I'm feeling really excited. I'm typing this post on my first ever android phone:) while I'm still getting used to it, I'm really liking the swype feature for entering text. I wouldn't want to write a book with it, but it's much easier than I expected.

And, of course, it's nice having a camera again, so I can take current photos:)
