well the SEC does rule the land. the title game wasn't a surprise for me. thought Notre Dame was overrated all year long.

the only surprise for me was how well Texas A&M played so quickly.

the SEC had Vandy, South Carolina, Georgia, TAMU, Ole Miss and 'Bama winning their bowl games.

LSU, Miss State, and Florida losing theirs.

9 out of 14 teams made a bowl. (with six winning)

and Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, AUburn should be winning programs. better coaching and recruiting are needed.

anyone see any reason that the conference won't dominate the NCAA for at least the next decade?

The Patriots???
...aww, Timmy.
no, no, no, no.

my poor 'fins.
although I guess I could route for the Pats when they're not playing the 'fins...

I my have left the land of eternal champions, but I will not forego my SEC roots.

I may love it up here in my new home state of Indiana, but c'mon man. IU, Notre Dame, Purdue? This is the best that they have to offer up here?

Weak.

...here's looking forward to another year of SEC domination, with my LSU Tigers coming on strong this year.

Geaux Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto, only change Indiana to Washington and IU, Notre Dame, Purdue to UW, WSU, and...? Is there another four year school who plays football around here? Maybe I need to look further south towards Oregon for that.

So, I remain SEC true.

GOOOOO GATORS!!!

Yes, Menolly, the Oregon Ducks are a reasonably good team by West Coast standards, but those waterfowl are unlikely to budge you from your devotion to your aquatic reptiles. Chomp!

I was going to say the Ducks! But was thinking maybe they didn't have a football team...

I do know the Trojans have a great team, but I think that's reaching a bit far geographically. Plus, from what little I have heard of their program, I may rate them alongside FSU ethically. And FSU's ethics during the Bowden years is what caused my conversion to being a Gator to begin with.

University of New Hampshire is a division I college. they are in the Colonial Athletic Association.

I occasionally catch them on ESPN (college) and have listened to them on the radio.

but being in Texas, I can tell you all about UT and TAMU. :(

One of those Texas schools joined the SEC recently, didn't they sarge? TAMU, perhaps?

The TN-Oregon game went as expected. TN looked good for the first 8 minutes. If football were a game of 2 minute quarters, TN would've won 7-3.

Of course, if my aunt had a penis, she'd be my uncle.

Oregon is a fun team to watch. However, they certainly did not see the best of the SEC this past weekend.

Florida is no Oregon. Here's hoping that the Butch Jones era gets off to a good start with a big win over the Gators!

Since my daughter's now at LSU, I've been paying attention to the Tigers.

Wow.

I'd forgotten how explosive SEC football was.

Huh...after all of these years. I move to Indiana and then you come down to Baton Rouge. I would have liked the chance to get to meet you in person.

Expect to have a good time. Nothing like a Saturday night game at Tiger Stadium, and of course ll of the associated tailgating.

I can't wait to hear your impressions...

I can't figure this one out. What scares me is that these guys who make these lines are good.

What do they know that I don't???

Vol misery continues. This rebuilding process under Butch Jones is so freakin' painful. But, MMQBing aside, there's no way in seven hells I would've started a redshirt freshman in his first collegiate game in the Swamp.
