Hope it comes out well, Guns.

I'm SUPER tired. Just started at my second job, dig this, at my FAVORITE BOOK SHOP. I've been shelving a lot, but today my leader-lady was teaching me till. Lots of squating as the shelves are floor to six feet, so my thighs are killing me.

But the discount is AMAZING.

FREEEEEE BOOOOOKSSSSS.

WOO HOO!

If you, Malik, and the kids ever make the drive to WDW, and decide to stop for a meal at the Cracker Barrel in Gator Town, let me know Ki!! I'll even drive down and meet you at the one in Ocala.

Today I found out that my primary supervisor can no longer supervise me in my role as a psychologist. Because of Australia's absurd rules, I can no longer call myself a psychologist and I hereby lose my practice rights. Worse, I got a job at another prison as a psych, but because I cannot call myself a psych anymore, I will most likely not retain that position. Further, my contract at my prison runs out in two weeks time so I am out of a job there.

My supervisor and I have been having great difficulty establishing rapport, because I am constatly tense and anxious. It makes her frustrated. I have every reason to believe this is the reason why I was told she can't supervise me anymore.

I would love to change my personality, but alas I cannot. :(

Bad news Lore. :D Join the ranks of gentlemen of leisure again... ;)

Yep, it's official...the company I worked for is closing. They've implied that they'll be paying us out, so it's wait and see for a while. If they don't, it's the labour court and all that, so will have to see.

On the plus side, I've decided that I can afford to lose enough for a home connection from my savings, so I should be getting online from home sometime next week with a bit of luck. :D

Told y'all you wouldn't get rid of me so easily. ;)

Later,

Oh...what great news to wake up to!!!

Lore, I am so sorry about the job situation. I really hope you find a way to work things out.

i'm sorry to hear that Lore. i'm sure that is difficult.

and av...ugh....whenever i read in the news that a company is closing or has been bought out, i always feel for those employees. you sound like you are taking it in stride though.

the company i worked for 9 years since i graduated grad school was purchased by a much bigger company. our official close is end of jan 08. fortunately for me, i was absorbed into the bigger company, but many of my friends have not been and will be leaving soon. it is hard to watch your company dissolve. it was for me anyway.

Sorry to hear about that, Lore.

How can they take away your designation as a psychologist? Is it a job related classification or a educational attainment?

Not so great on the job, but great on the home connection, Av. :D

You'll be able to be on 24-7, like Menolly.... *runs* :D

Yay! The ass-atar is back!

Tough luck Av and Lore. Been there myself several times. Best thing is just to not worry too much and brush up them resumes. And try not to feel like a loser while sitting at home looking for work. That has always been the worst part for me. I go through great heaps of depression sitting at home all day. And turning on the tv while eating lunch or something just makes things worse, with those afternoon programs. I don't know how it is where you are at Av, but in the US, afternoon tv is designed for the hard of thinking and the unemployable.
