THE HAMMER OF THE GODS
Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page, John Charlie Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant. This topic is for those who don't know 'em, and those who do. We got any uninitiated out there? Do we need Zep to come and build your Stairway?! By the way--VOTE! 8)

I voted for untitled.
Better known as ZOSO, or the Runes album. 8)

Critics r raving about a just released 3 CD set called How the West Was Won. Recorded during a 1972 California swing, it captures Zep in prime swagger, fresh off their masterpiece, Led Zepplin IV, with Houses of the Holy just around the corner. --Rolling Stone calls it an "absolutely killer live album-something on a par with the Who's Live at Leeds and the Stones' Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!."

Some featured songs:
Heartbreaker
Greensleeves
Dazed and Confused
Rock and Roll
Whole Lotta Love
Going to California
Moby Dick
Over the Hills and Far Away
Bring it on Home

Technically, it's called "Untitled" on the Zeppelin website. If you don't like it--then you can . . . you can call it its un-technical name! Get it right or pay the price, ya mooks! No wonder you guys call it by the wrong name! All you know is that album, ya dirty beginners! :|

Arg! It's just (just... ha!) music, guys. I think it's fairly obvious that LF and Dromond were quite tongue-in-cheek.

*passes around some grains of salt to everybody to take with their posts... kinda like a marguerita*

When'd everybody get so PC? Ok, I'm gonna get out my guitar and play a nice version of "Lesbian Seagull" for everyone.

*mutters, "This is what happens when you bribe people to post."*

I've only just recently started getting into Zeppelin, so I'd have to go with a fairly noob answer and say "Stairway to Heaven."

Going to California is my favorite song on Untitled, though I love When The Levee Breaks. Of course, as I've stated a thousand times, my favorite Zep song is Kashmir. For those of you who have yet to taste the fruits of Zep beyond Untitled, then I recommend a little visit to House of the Holy and PHYSICAL GRAFFITI (O YEA!)

Highlights of Houses of the Holy: The Song Remains The Same, The Rain Song, Over The Hills And Far Away, DANCING DAYS :R , and that reggae song D'yer M'ker or something.

All of Physical Graffiti is wonderful--even the filler, I'd venture to say.

For songs from other albums, I'd go with Achilles Last Stand and ALL OF MY LOVE (best lyrics they ever wrote, I think).

Another of my faves is Immigrant Song. My husband always sings that one to me, too, in the winter whenever we get snow or freezing rain. 8)
