Who will Linden Be?
Given the UK spoiler. Does anyone think Linden will become someone we have read about in the Lands past.
Like maybe Bereks Queen?

Why stoe there? Why not suggest that TC himself IS Berek? That ol' "cleaving of the hand in battle" could just as easily be lore that has gone wrong over time.Jerico wrote:Given the UK spoiler. Does anyone think Linden will become someone we have read about in the Lands past.

I don't think that either of these is likely, however. I think Linden's role while importatn will be more understated.

Well Linden does love TC and he has a half hand maybe she'll see something of TC in Berek. I date a lot of girls that say I remind them of their grandfather.

I'm a newbie, so excuse my ignorance. Please enlighten me and comfort the poverty of my comprehension. Why do so many post-ers seem to hate Linden? I don't HATE her, but I think her presence detracts from the plot with TC as the central character and hero. It would have been better, and more consistent, to have TC as the main and only heroic character saving the Land. But then it would have messed up the beginning of ROTE. There would have been no one to summon to the Land since TC died. Why the Linden-haters club? Inquiring Watchers want to know........
Heard my ears aright? Did not the gaddhi grant me this glaive?

I think what it all boils down to, is that LInden is NOT Covenant..so the haters got their knickers all in a bunch when SRD added another protagoni9st into the story.
I persoanlly don't have a problem with her, anyone who thinks she whines too much should go back and read the first Chonicles again, and see how much pissing and moaning Covenant does.
And to al those LInden haters out there who, remember it was her who eventually broke Covenenat out of his trance and planted his first word into his head...which was Nom...everyone's favorite charactor.

And here I thought we were going to go for a whole week without someone mentioning it.

And hey, our hatred of Linden Avery is very reasonable, logical, and well-thought-out.
She simply sucks.

And people wonder why no one really discusses the chronicles very much anymore.

Hey......just because I'm incapable of creating intelligent discussion and insight into the Chronicles (something that I think I've proved many times around here, most recently with my Dissection of Runes, heh) doesn't mean you all aren't allowed to discuss everything yourselves. Heh.
