KEVIN'S WATCH ANTHOLOGY III - AUGUST 2007

Post by aTOMiC »

For all of you who didn't make the deadline for KWA II and have not asked for an extension I have good news.
Thanks to the interest that has been demonstrated for the first 2 Anthologies I believe we can settle into a yearly cycle with a publish date in mind for Christmas orders of that same year. With nearly a year to work on your submission we should have even more participation than we've had in the past. We will revisit the details, some time early next year, for participation in the selection team, guidelines etc.

I want to be on the selection team for 2014.

It would be cool if SRD would give us a Short Story for an Anthology!!

Bloody hell! Why don't we just publish an enormous uber-anthology and save all the hanging about?

I see it now! Kevin's Watch Anthology 2007-2010: publish date January 2007. If we each write 10 stories now and turn them in, then we'll be done for the decade! Brilliant!

Fervent request: Can we have the story deadline be the first weekend in August, instead of September? We're almost done with editing, but I'm dead tired, and this one only has seven stories in it.

Yes. We have to remember that all of our editing staff have full time jobs, too. :) If the deadline is changed to early August, this will give the editors more time and still give plenty of tiem for people to work on their submissions. :) 8)

I should have my short story complete well before then.

Expect me to submit a Braddock Pines 2. I might even name it that, heh. "This time it's personal!"

This isn't a "fervent request" anymore. I will be editing steadily for Calderwood Books. If I'm going to get short stories done for the A3, I will need to fit them in between the regular business. We'll have to stretch out the time after writing, to have a chance of being ready for Christmas.

Let's try having the deadline at the beginning of August instead of the beginning of September this year, and see if it works.

I am having difficulties writing. I think I am suffering from writer's block for the first time in my life. I just cant finish stories.
