I have this great barbecue sauce that I like to cook drumstix in.....
2 tabs soy sauce
1/3 cup tomato sauce (ketchup)
2 tabs honey
1 tabs brown sugar
2 tabs cider vinegar
1 teas fresh grated ginger
2 cloves garlic crushed
1/4 cup hot water
* just combine all ingredients in a bottle and shake
Pour over drumstix and cook at moderate temp till done.
I like to add a little more garlic, honey and tomato sauce - you can experiment and adjust ingredients according to your own taste.
This sauce is really great for chicken wings and spare ribs as well

olive oil is excellent salad oil ..
canola would also suffice .. or sunflower oil .. but the former suggestions are better imho ..
sometimes i like to use sesame oil .. just for that nutty flavour

ooh, lard *drools* I haven't had any food cooked in lard for months - my parents switched to foul-tasting vegetable oil :/ Can't get a good chip anywhere these days - not even in my own home

I've never eaten anything that has been cooked in lard. I have a health-conscious family
