St. Patty's Day calls for Irish Boiled Dinner for this Jewish lass. I'm using my regular crock pot recipe, but have replaced the potatoes with trimmed halved red radish. I upped the amount of turnips, and kept the amount of carrots the same.
Between the beer it cooks in and the carrots, it's not truly a low carb dish, but for me it's better than the full carb option.

Right, because February 2nd is Groudhog Day. Funny.Menolly wrote:SD is headed out to shop. I asked if he had a plan in mind for something for dinner. He looked me dead in the eye and said, "You know what protein base I prefer to use on this date." I had to think about it for a minute but then said,
"Oh, yes. We'll be having something with ground pork." 😉

gua bao, also known as a pork belly bun,
ambiguously as a bao, or erroneously as
a bao bun, is a type of lotus leaf bunÂ
originating from Fujian cuisine. It is a
popular snack in Taiwan and is commonly
sold at night markets and restaurants.
It is also a popular street food in Singapore,Â
Malaysia, Philippines, and Nagasaki
Chinatown in Japan. And on Houston, Texas.

Made a dish that's a take off of the viral TikTok recipe for pasta with tomatoes and feta cheese. This one uses butternut squash, golden grape tomatoes, and havarti.
The finished dish
Dinner is served
peter, I took a couple of pictures of the shallow pan method of cooking the pasta, which is what I did here. But I forgot to take the most important one at the end which shows just how much starchy water is left at the end of the cook time before adding the sauce. I'll try to remember to take the finishing pictures the next time I make pasta, although it may have a different form of pasta, say spaghetti vis a vis penne in the pan.

A sandwich tonight ~ cheese, cucumber & tomato.
When I’m looking after properties ~ I pack a lean bag and swag ~ so it’s never very exciting.

wow sounds amazing! Did you butcher the deer yourself or can you buy deer in store?
My dil made a delicious roast chicken in her air fryer who knew you could roast a chook like that. We had it with steamed veg … was very delish!
And it was quick! I’d taken the littlies to the playground and when I got back quite late it was dinner, bath & bedtime for them … and she whipped it up out of nowhere lol

This deer I didn't butcher myself, a friend shot and processed it. Although I have shot and processed many in my years. I think you can buy it but its not inexpensive.
