Will samadhi Sheol return in some way?
Have we really seen the last of it? Will its torn remnants return in Fatal Revenant, or have they already in Runes as one of Anele's possessors?

Elaborate. I am interested in what you are supposing here. Especially since the laws of deathe and time are both broken. What up?

This is pure speculation:
Spoiler
Nom was changed dramatically after consuming Sheol, and we know that he intended to release the other sandgorgons from the Doom. Obviously I don't know yet what those sandgorgons have been up to since then....but what if one of them was responsible for releasing Kastanessen? Or, what if a sandgorgon made a deal with a croyel and is now threatening the Land in some way? Or, perhaps with the knowledge Nom received from Sheol, then sandgorgons have mutated/evolved, and are now known as skurj? I could go on and on, with my point being that however they appear and contribute to the story, it will be obvious that Nom/Sheol will be the reason why they are contributing.
I absolutely agree with you! And I have often wondered what happened to them for years. I think you are correct and I can't wait to find out!dlbpharmd wrote:This is pure speculation:

Rent is not implying that Nom is the ravers Landlord. He's not coming back, he's been removed from the novels. Sandgorgons though... They'll be back from the looks of some of the spoilers I'd say:
Spoiler
The Staff of Law is incomplete and some one is going to have to make the journey again... who better than Berek.. especially if the giants don't make it.

It's possible that Nom was corrupted by having rent shards of samadhi in him. He might not have been able to contain a Raver forever. We'll certainly see either Nom or samadhi again. SRD would never leave that alone.
dlb, the only one of your possibilities that looks wrong right off is sandgorgons becoming skurj. Anele told us that Kastenessen was restraining the skurj in his Durance.

I have been watching this closely in the dissection. So far, skurj has been mentioned, and something finding release from its bonds has been mentioned. No one explicitely said (yet) that the two are the same.
Similarly, we have no real evidence that the skurj are the same as the laval worms Linden saw in her version.
With so many other intentional ambiguities thrown into the story, I am not yet ready to be sure that the skurj are what was released, or that they are the things in Lindens vision. It may be that they are -- but I will remain prudently skeptical.
Also, Foul claimed that the Elohim have done something. Until we know what that is, I don't think we can make too many assumptions about the skurj.
