He had it in it's box to bring to the storage room while we attempt to organize our home a little more. He stacked it on top of a pile of items in the front passenger seat of the minivan, and had both front windows open. Knowing Paul, he made a sharp left turn too fast and too tight, and the box with the crockpot flew out the window. Smash!!!

Hmmm...think I can use this as an opportunity to get the Hamilton Beach Set 'n Forget® 6 Qt. Programmable Slow Cooker(Model # 33966) I've been drooling over? I will need it the week before Thanksgiving, as this year I'm doing Thanksgiivng dinner for two Villages, instead of just mine.

a/k/a a slow cooker. Crock-Pot was the original name given by the Rival Company, who introduced them to the US.

I guess you could say it's an electronic version of a cast iron dutch oven.

I think you should use it as an opportunity to get your new kitchen appliance and to spank your husband.

A year and five months later, we spotted the H-B set it and forget it 6-quart crockpot at Target. They're selling it for $50, so I am now the proud owner of this model and Hyperception is finally off the hook.
