Matrixman is Canadian.
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

I'm drew...from Halifax (well actually a small fishing comunity called East Chezzetcook about a half an hour outside of Halifax)--Matrixman is from Winnipeg..Usivius is from what he beleives to be the center of the Universe (TO) and Variol Farseer is from either Vancouver or Edmonton (Sorry VS..)...

There have been a few other Canucks..but these are the current regulars.

There are a few Canadian topics...like one on Hockey one on Candian Thanksgiving and (of course) one on beer

Hope you enjoy it here.

it was just a JOKE!!!!
I know TO is not the center of the universe ... really! I was just playing up the cliche opinion of Torontonians ...

OK, now that I have completely embarrassed myself in a display of shameless defensiveness, I am going back to my desk and read my copy of Macleans with having a Moosehead and some backbacon....

;)

cheers surrender! ...and where in Ontari-ario are you from?... (please don't say Hamilton.... )

I asume the cheering was for the Suzuki comment?

I've never actaully read anything by Atwood...and I can't stand Sheila Rogers, although I listen to her show everyday! (www.cbc.ca/soundslikecanada)

I've said it before, I am a CBC-aholic.

Suzuki is deffinatly the Man! If you need a little guilt in your life, all you've got to do is watch the Nature of Things, and he'll make you feel like you've just personally burned a few thousand hectares of rainforrest!

I remember one episode made me feel guilty for eating lettuce.

 nothing in TO yet. However, Saturday, while grocery shopping, I'm loading the car and a woman parks her car next to mine. It must have had at least 6 cm of snow on it. As she gets out I look at her with mock seriousness, "Now where did you come from that you bring this white stuff?"
She smiles sheepishly, "Orillia."
That is mid-Ontario about. Sheesh! Didn't think it was here already! I thought it was a mid-Canada thing ...

Warm today, 9C, with light drizzle.
