Hi all! Here's something i wrote after a finished reading the Chronicles for the first time (which was quite awhile ago...

):

Deep within the blackwoods song,
burbling in the rivers flow,
warded by the forests loam,
therein rests my soul.

Graven into mountains rock,
splendour beyond mortal art,
wellsprings source and hearthwoods sap,
therein beats my heart.

I was pleased with it too, which is why i translated it into Tolkien runes and had it tattooed on my body...

,perhaps that was just a little too much info...

Yep. Too much info there. That must have hurt!!

It's not what you might think...

I've had work done on my arms, chest and back; and by far the most painful spot was on my chest and lower back - right over the bone!

My admittedly fleshy arms, however, were almost enjoyable by comparison...

Well, it starts at my right elbow, travels up my arm and across the back of my shoulders, then down my left arm and finishes at my left elbow!

Positioning the bloody thing took nearly two hours, and then the tattooist had to do the whole thing in one go (first coat, anyway) to make sure he got it juusst right - about 5 hours all up!

ive never doubted that it was worth it though

(If i ever work out how to upload a pic, i'll post it in the gallery...)

And i'm glad you liked the poem, F&F

I put down WGW, picked up a pen, and the thing just wrote itself! But don't encourage me too much, or i might have to post another!!
