This is a great flick. At first I was thinking to myself,"this is dumb",on into the movie I started to think"hmmm,I guess it is alright",a little further into the movie I was like"it is pretty good",at the end I had been won over and told my wife"that is the best animated film I have seen in a long time".If you have kids take them to see Happy Feet,if you don't have kids go see damn Happy Feet anyway.

Not very enthusiastic about this one. Every time I hear a new CGI movie is coming out I immediately think it's yet another second-rate Pixar imitator, such as Madagascar or Shark Tale.
Then again, this flick is made by the same folks who did Babe. Will eventually rent it, when it hits DVD.

The animation is better than pixars,on par with Robots visually IMO if you have ever seen that, but with a better story.

I'm purposely avoiding this movie, as it only promotes penguins on their global quest to oust humans as the No1 species on the planet.
I refuse to aid penguins to achieve their ultimate goal of world domination.

What are you smoking, man? It's
dolphins, not penguins!
The moment those bastards get opposable thumbs we are done!

That's what the penguins
want you to think.

Indeed; misdirection is the name of the game. The dolphins are just patsies.

I took my daughter to see this yesterday. What utter tripe. It wasn't funny, the music wasn't very good, and it's the tired old "humans are the scourge of the planet" message.
My 11-1/2-year old daughter didn't care for it a bit either. Bad sign when your kid keeps checking her watch during a movie.

Heh, that's about what I figured I'd walk away thinking if I went to it.

SEE, I TOLD YOU. Those penguins will resort to any means in their quest for world domination.
They are trying to bore people to death, and are even targeting kids.
DESPICABLE.

Slammed humans, zoos, religion and intollerance for illegal immigrants. This should be a flick discussed in the Tank.

It was aimed to influence the young; glad Cail's kid didn't fall for it. That said, I enjoyed parts and was moved by some, but still could have waited for the rental.

I thought the animation was very good with some spectacular images of the Antarctic ice. However I thought the movie was kind of boring and doesn't really send the, in my opinion, "correct" environmental message. It seems to be saying that we should only be interested in animals that are cute or can entertain us. Boring, ugly animals can be slaughtered at will. The image of the whole colony of dancing penguins performing for the human researchers made me think of black people shuckin' and jivin' for their white Masters while repressing their traditional culture and hiding their true beauty. I realize I am probably reading too much into a children's movie but I did not care much for it.
