Warmark, I am guessing our differences came mostly from the questions where there was no appropriate answer.

Which I make to be a grand total of 95%. Hmm.

What it should've read....

70% Norn' Irish

30% Posh Cheltonian (My mates from NI can't believe I now say two syllables for shower and mirror!)

Grew up in NV, so this is no surprise. About the only thing we say differently is the word Nevada, and despite the fact that California's taking over the state, even saying it wrong in local commercials, the proper pronunciation is becoming more widespread. Probably has something to do with shows like CSI: Las Vegas and such. I think the same quiz or a very similar one is around here somewhere, though.

Some other questions:

Pinch. (I say it with a short i)
Buffet. (buh-fay)

I suppose this is appropriate for a KY boy with an education. As far as pronouciation goes, I have to make a conscious effort to not pronounce "I" like the a in "rather," and instead more like the long i sound in "eye." Other than that, I don't think my Kentucky accent is very noticable.
