Laws of Life and Death are still broken

People have often discussed if the Laws of Life and Death are broken, or restored because of the remaking of the Staff Of Law. I do not think that they are restored at all, for several reasons. First is that the Law of Life was broken in Andelain, and Andelain obeyed natural Law completly. Think about it, it obeys Law, and the dead show. The Staff of Law supports the natural order of things, supports the Law. Thats why the Laws of Life and Death cannot be restored, because they're are no Laws concerning them, The SoL binds the laws, but when Laws are broken, the SoL has nothing to do with them.
I don't think I'm being clear, sorry about that, I've just spent two and half hours doing an exam. so my brain is mush. I'll try and make point more clear when my brain isn't a vegetable.

You're quite clear..hope your exam went well. thats a good point about the SoL and its pertinance to laws which are broken. i wish i really knew the exact powers of the SoL and whether it can restore broken laws. your point makes a lot of sense though, and opens a heck of a lot of possibilities for the 3rd chronicles...such as old lords returning, Tommy Boy, Mhoram, Bloodguard, Foamfollower, etc. gosh i cant wait for these books.

The laws existed before and after the staff of law. This proves that the laws have a separate existence from the staff of law. This means that the staff of law was not necessary for the laws to exist.

But we also know that while the laws were not dependent upon the staff they apparently needed its support. The weakening of the laws were apparently what enabled Foul to make the Sunbane.

There is no evidence to suggest that Linden remade the laws when she made the new SoL. But I would argue that she certainly had the power required to do so, as she was wielding the white gold at the time. It might be that after this the laws would depend on the new staff.

Were the Laws made by the old Lords, or just interpeted by them? Who made the Laws in the first place...the Creator?

If that's so, than clearly they transcend the SoL. And it was only through human intervention (such as Elena miss-using the Earthblood) that the Laws were weakened enough for Foul to do that voodoo that he do so well!

the laws were part of the creators original work, & existed independantly of the SoL. LA would have had 2 recreate them when she made the new staff, & as ryzel sed, there is no evidence that she did that.

lord tamarantha tells the creation stroy in LFB & talks about how the despiser placed banes in the creators work 2 mar it. i think that this somehow made it possible 4 foul 2 subvert the earthpower & create the sunbane. when berek discovered the evil, he created the SoL 2 support the natural law & preserve it from being warped. i think.

Hile Troy/Caer-Caveral in TWL - Chapter 12 - The Andelainain Hills:
"You do not comprehend, you cannot touch them, for they have no flesh. They are the Dead. the Law of Death has been broken, and cannot be made whole again."

I read that last night. So the SoL supports the Laws, upholds them; but Laws can be broken. I also remember something that happened in the Illearth War. Tull tells the Mhoram and Troy about how the Raver who killed all the Giants, used a piece of the Illearth Stone to try and brake the Law which makes the sea act natural. But the Raver was killed :LOLS:  :LOLS:

*Moksha, Turiya's brother, looks at Earthfriend suspicously and says, "Why does everyone hate us Ravers? Why? Ah, the humanity of it. C'mon Turiya, let's leave, cause no one likes Ravers."*

*Turiya and Moksha leave*
