SciFi Channel mini series. Anyone else watching this? This is the best mini series I've seen in ages! This isn't the same semi crap I've seen scifi do every so often; this is a real cool idea of a show with alot of mystery going on...a great mix of real life, scifi, mystery and maybe even a bit of a ghost story. Very good writing, too. Something different. I hope this makes it into some sort of series.

I just watched the last bit last night. A lot of it was filmed in Albuquerque and around New Mexico. It's funny how they shot that as the bookstore is 19 blocks away from the Satellite Cafe on Central, but they made look like it was right across the street.

When they were filming at the Book Stop (which is right by The Flying Star where the 'Elohimfesters' all met each other for the first time, at breakfast, btw...) I was up on the terrace at Starbucks reading and watching them. The place was festooned with crew and cops. Somebody said, "Kevin Pollack's the big man on the set." and I said "No. Kevin Pollack's actually pretty short..." :P It is a terribly cool show! I have to see the whole thing end to end. 8)

I liked everything about it... except the end. I have to many plothole questions, and it just doesn't sit right with me.

But other than that, I liked it a lot. I'll probably buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Yes, I agree, the end was rather disapointing. We still don't know how all those objects were endowed; even John Doe wasn't very helpful in very many insights. It did leave it open for a series run or sequel at least.

Isn't it supposed to be a mini-series or was that just it?-it certainly billed itself as a mini-series...

Lost Room, liked quite a bit; BTW, next Saturday Dec 16 SciFi cable is marathoning all three parts in one sitting. Plot holes well yeah, for one
Spoiler
why does killing the Occupant give Joe Miller occupant powers,
and
Spoiler
do the other objects still retain their powers?
No do not make this a permanent series.

To Danlo, the SciFi cable mininseries are typically shown over two or three consequetive nights; for example, Taken a few years ago and IIRC the BattleStar Galactica miniseries from 2003.

What I didn't like was the fact that
Spoiler
the occupant was forgotten but the dude who replaced him wasn't.
I don't mind having questions, as long as those questions don't seem like plotholes.
