So I've been thinking: we spend a whole heap of time chatting to each other but a lot of us are virtual strangers. In a real life situation we'd have "context"--we'd all go to a pub and hang out or something. In this situation, our context is where we sit and type...our desks (or where ever you access the internet).

So...show us where you sit!

Here's a view of my desk...yeah, it's a pigsty. It's generally not this bad...but I'm having a late night, having a few drinks... sooooo, welcome to Seareach's world at this very moment in time. This is the mess I'm looking at while I type this...

This is a picture of part of my lab. I sit to the right of the sitting guy, you can see a laptop there. That's where about half my posts come from

I put up a pic of my desk at home, because I thought that's what Seareach was talking about. Then I get crap for posting it, because technically, I only post from my desk at work nowadays (though I have posted from home in the past). So I edited my post, because apparently it's not up to the standards of certain watch members. So, naturally, I'm getting crap for my edit.....

....Can't live with them, and there's no season to hunt them....

Oh, I'm not hiding my hostility. I think it's perfectly absurd to get on someone's ass in a light-hearted thread like this. Hopefully, we can just get back to what Sea intended this to be, a way to get to know each other a little more. I'll bring my camera into the office and post a pic tomorrow, too.

Honestly, I don't see why you can't show us both places where you might post from. Luci is entitled to opine, but I haven't seen her desk pic yet... double standard?
