After years of being tied up in legal logistics, Yellowbeard was released onto DVD in Jun of last year. Yeah I realize its not new but it slipped under my radar and I thought there might be some other interested parties. It doesn't look like they've added any special features, but hey it's out.

What is Yellowbeard?

Yellowbeard is a pirate movie with Cheech and Chong and some of the guys from Python. Also Marty Feldman's last film. Its one of those love it or hate it movies. You'll either laugh till you pee yourself or you'll want pieces of your life back. Its been in legal limbo for years because no one knew who owned the rights.

I saw it once, and liked it. I didn't realize it wasn't completely a Python deal, though....

Graham Chapman's the only Python in it, isn't he?
I'm deathly afraid to watch this again, 'cause I fear it's a really stupid movie and I don't want to ruin my fond memories of it.
"Stagger, stagger, roll, crawl, stagger...."
Yeah, I think I'll just let the memories be good ones.

Yeah, I'd say 23 or so since I saw either of those, or The Meaning Of Life, or Life Of Brian for that matter.

It's available on Netflix...
We got it last month. It has been probably 20 years since I last saw it, and it was just as hilarious as the first time.
One of the true comedy classics.
One on Marty Feldman's last movies, too (if not indeed the last).
Now 3 of the major cast members have passed : Marty Feldman, Graham Chapman and Peter Boyle.
What great comedic losses that will never be replaced.

I agree. I remember it being kinda funny in parts when I saw it in the theatre, but don't think I will like it now.

I've been waiting for "Erik the Viking" to come to DVD, but I guess like Yellowbeard, it's been going through some legal issues, too. Europe has a dvd version, but not US.

Well we watched it this weekend and I must say that we still laughed! It wasn't like I remembered it but then again I was 10 when I saw it for the first time. Too many things going on for me to catch all of them, will have to watch at least two more times.

Yellowbeard was the last movie Marty Feldman was in, he suffered a major heart attack while filming.
