What do you think will be the next cool thing online? - something that hasn't been done before.

I read your question to mean: what will be the next online thing to achieve massive popularity on the scale of YouTube? Beats the heck outta me. If I knew what it was, I'd be filthy rich.

What isn't being done online now? Is there any way that we humans can further separate ourselves from having to interact with flesh-and-blood people?

Some people who do that "Second Life" thing spend more time living in their cyberuniverse than the REAL one...THAT's scary...

I think people are forgetting how to interact with REAL PEOPLE. I shudder to think of the social ineptitude which the next generation will have to deal with.

No reason to not contemplate it. I - for one - am keen to explore the options. I'm getting rather tired of Bill Gates having a tad more cash than I do

I'm actually contemplating starting a company - without a product just yet - that will explore the possibilities and take them for a test drive. Any takers? Companies need shareholders after all. Oh and I am being serious.

We only think it's all been done because the next thing hasn't come out (or been released) yet .... it really looks like we've got everything, both good and bad, online.

I've seen people on one or two certain other forums relate to each other in really dysfunctional ways, and it's quite scary ... I mean, when you turn the computer off you turn these people off with it!!!!!

Another thing that "gets" me is on some forums, it seems to be a game to flame newbies even if their first post/question is sensible and researched. People with thousands of posts to their names will spam someone with flames just because they're new. To those spammers I'd simpy say, "If you've got nothing constructive to add, just don't bother - get a life instead".

We can get "forummed out". I recently did an exercise in which I identified all the forums I'm on, changed the passwords, set them to allow PM contact but not email (to prevent my email address being 'harvested' by 'spambots'), and add in/remove any other details as I saw fit. I identified some 35 forums, most of which I very rarely, if ever, visit now.

To say nothing of other so-called "social" sites such as MySpace, hi5, Bebo and so on....

For me, over the past few months, I've been very busy in real life that I simply haven't had so much time to spend online, except for sporadic forum visits and answering email. But maybe this is a good thing!

I minored in marketing when getting my degree in business management. I could head up the marketing department!

I majored in BS so I could do PR for you.

Interactive gameshows will be next. I don't mean voting or registering I mean web-cams feeding direct to TV. One thing I've noticed on Direct TV is a skaters/grundge channel that has interactive comp polls, trivia and communication during reruns of STNG...it's ridiculous of course, but the concept is cool...

There has got to be some way to have sex online. I mean real, physical, body-to-body contact sex....hasn't there? Have sex with anyone in the world from the comfort of your own living room! How does that sound?!

Or maybe a website where you log in and watch someone else engage in fun, oudoors activities for hours on end.
