AND THE NEW TITLE IS....drum roll please.... (Book 9)

My editors and I have agreed on a new title for what I call Covenant 9: "Against All Things Ending". It lacks the thematic "resonance" of my previous title, but I have to admit that I like the way it sounds.

What was it previously? The Last Dark? Whatever it was, I don't quite like the new title

"Shall pass utterly" or "should pass utterly" .... "Against all things ending" ...... reminds me of that syrupy Phil Collins song "Against All Odds."

Yeah, I'm not that fond of it either. I don't think it flows well. It's also suggestive of ending the series.

Vain, the original title was "Shall Pass Utterly" then was changed to "Should Pass Utterly" and then scrapped.

"Shall pass utterly" was better.

Bah. To quote the great Jay Sherman, "It stinks!"

Maybe we should move this to the A&S Forum, so more people will notice it.-jay

Although now that I think about it more for a second, I do like the new title better than "Should Pass Utterly." It's a step up, I guess.

Just not as good as "Shall".-jay

(Edit)

Ok, I went ahead and moved the topic to A&S, since it's pretty important.-jay

:haha: Haha! Nice. That's an awesome mock title.

"Linden" rhymes with "End'n" so well, heh.

I think we have a new unofficial name for Book 9, heh. THOOLAH approves. Heh.-jay

"Against All Things Ending" ... bah.

Well, I won't judge a book by it's title.

(I wonder if he considered "Everything Must Go". :) )

Yes, 'Shall Pass Utterly' is the best of the working titles for that book, IMO. 'Against All Things Ending' is...clumsy.
