I am just a little curious on a vague tally for this. For those who do participate, let me know if you have won anything. Please vote every time you get a 'contest cup'...

I picked donuts--I won front row tickets on the radio to see Peter Hammil (the guitarist and vocalist for Van Der Graff Generator) in '75. I won $200 dollars on Powerball (lottery) when I was dead broke and living in Silver City. When I was a kid I used to win stuff wherever I went--I would leave carnivals with 6 huge stuffed animals at a time, fruit baskets and all sorts of stuff. When I was 12 I played one game of bingo, on the Orange Blossom Special (the train from Florida to NY) and won two huge bags of oranges. When I dragged them in to our stateroom my Dad said, "What the hell are we going to do with all these fraaking oranges!?"

Pretty straight foward...have you ever won anything: contests, sweepstakes, trophies, Olympic medals, etc...

Of course people who ever won anything real big (except for say a car or house) would be foolish to list that here. If it involved a large sum of $ then hackers would be tracing that IP

That would be, have you ever won anything in the specific contest that is the subject of this thread.

I don't know whether to laugh or become utterly confused, as well! :P

But I agree, how can you, "Please vote every time you get a 'contest cup'..." when you can only vote once? Maybe I should restate my first post saying, "No, I have never won a cup of coffee or a donut in my life." :D

Ahhh...

I thought it was specific for some game-show I'd never heard of.

In that case, I won a parking spot at my school in some random drawing, but I don't drive, so I sold the thing for twenty bucks.

Seemed like a good deal to me.

That's how I read it. Since I don't know what the contest is, I've been ignoring it.

I'm not familiar with it either. I think it's a Canadian thing (since I first saw it mentioned in the Canada thread).

I voted something big and that something big is total confusion about the point of this contest....

It's a Canadian thing. One of their coffee chains does this every year.

Everyone elsewhere has already won; congratulations, you're not Canadian!

All I've won was one coffee.
You always win a coffee the first day.
And then nothing for about a week, and then maybe a donut, and then another coffee.

I don't think anybody actually wins the cars.

Actually, I started a thread in the 'Tank last year about those two girls who found the cup in the trash, both rolled it up together, and won the car.

The girls wanted to sell the car and take both families to DisneyLand...but the parents ended up fighting it out in court.....and then the guy who claimed to have thrown the cup away tried to get in on the action, and actually wanted his DNA tested to compare with the dried up saliva on the cup.
