Are any other Australian Watchers following this comedy series?
For anybody who hasn't seen it, imagine moving in with a new girlfriend who has an elderly male dog. Think of the way it would both despise you for taking her time away from it, but also try to incorporate you into it's "pack" at the same time.
Now imagine this scenario when played by a guy in a dog suit. A chain-smoking, truly malevolent, foul-mouthed guy in a dog suit that likes nothing more than philosophising about how his own perspective on the world is pretty much perfect, whilst also pontificating on your own imperfections.
The way the show addresses canine psychology is impressive. The invasion of personal space. The resentment about pack-status (and mating rights viz the female owner). The obscenely biological ways in which that resentment is shown.
All done in an understated and surreal manner.
Hysterical stuff.
