SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND DEADLINE DATE

1. All submissions will be approved by the selection committee before inclusion to the Anthology and sent on to editing. Selections will be emailed to a special account that can be accessed by all members of the selection team.
2. In order to complete the Anthology in a timely manner all submissions must be sent in before the deadline date ( SEPTEMBER 28, 2009 ). Special requests for extensions will be accepted.
3. Limitations: Stories & poems should not exceed a maximum of 20,000 words. Graphic fiction should not exceed a maximum of 20 full pages, images should be scanned to a resolution of a minimum of 300dpi for clarity and quality.
4. The selection committee should be comprised of no less than 3 members unless circumstances dictate otherwise.
5. Participating authors may not serve on the selection committee.
6. The number of submissions per author is unlimited (flooding the selection team with entries is discouraged) however a limit of only one feature length story, including graphic stories, will be selected unless circumstances dictate that this guideline be waived. A maximum of 3 common length poems (1 to 3 pages) will be chosen per author however exceptions can be made by special request.
7. Any genre story or poem can be submitted though it is assumed that most of us, being SRD fans, will likely lean toward science fiction / fantasy.
8. Due to copyright issues we are unable to accept any form of fan fiction. All entries must be original and the story, poem or graphic fiction content must be wholly owned by the individual author.

All submissions should be sent as attachments to KWAnthology@gmail.com

So to be excruciatingly clear (Av! ;) ), the deadline is August 29, 2008. Since there's no month numbered 29 it should be clear anyhow...but ya never know around here....

Hahahahahaha. Very funny. I only missed it by one damn day last time y'know...

(To be honest, I read the deadline date twice, just to make sure I understood it. (Even before I got to your post. ;) :D )

Hey, can I put in a plug for the Writer's Circle? The place has been kind of moribund of late...but if folks posted their possible submissions there, it would be a way to get your piece sort of, y'know, pre-reviewed. ;)

Great idea. Perhaps there can be a repository in the WC set aside for that purpose so everyone will know where to go to find the Anthology entries easily.

Yes, post bits of your submissions there so I may innoculate myself against the full-blown versions...... and understand that anything, no matter how brilliantly written, that ends with the words "did you know that Southerland Castle was indeed a spaceship" will be rejected.

I have edited the deadline date. It should be universally understandable to everyone not just Americans. :-)

I'm sorry. I'm used to dating everything "month-day-year".

I figured it out :P If you think about it, day-month-year (our way :P ) makes much more sense, since it goes in ascending order of scale.

If you cannot read a date, even with the numbers reversed from what you're used to seeing, then you're probably incapable of writing a story worthy of the pages of the KW Anthology. Still, that's never stopped you guys from trying in the past, so, for clarity's sake,

AUGUST 29, 2008

falls on a saturday.

You can't spell poet without Poe, and you're no Poe.
